adamariz teamed up yet again with producer, Oza Music, to bring you the second single from her upcoming EP, “BREAK.”

With a broken glass cover, adamariz describes two times she felt she needed a break like no other. This song was originally an acapella freestyle, in which storytelling lyrics are emotionally captivating; this second single from the EP shows more of the diversity adamariz has lyric-wise.

At some point, adamariz rambles off-topic and says, “I think I might have gone astray, from the pain I was tryna convey.” This is a double entendre as she is referring to the last line in the song, and literally getting off topic in the song. The last line of the song is, “At the end of the day, I’d rather bend than break.” The 2 lines connect because adamariz is referencing not living a Christian lifestyle but still believing.

Although the Bible is very specific about being lukewarm, and adamariz agrees with the bible, she also thinks that if they’re halfway to committing to Christ, there is still hope. The next few lines almost become contradictory as adamariz talks about feeling like she was in a play, and the devil wanted her to sway from her faith by staying in a place that was Christian but wasn’t where she needed to be. In other words, the devil was attempting to break adamariz’s relationship with God and Christianity.

Adamariz describes toying with the idea of leaving the faith but feeling guilt, almost as if she was being unfaithful to God by simply thinking that. She goes back to trying to process things that almost broke her, and then saying, “God had to remold me”. This ties in with the name of the upcoming EP, NEW BEGINNINGS. Each song’s goal is to lead to the message of redemption and change with God’s help. As she leads into the end of the song, she talks about repaying and betraying her mom but her roots being planted in truth.

Going to show adamariz may have bent a few rules, but at the end of the day, she returned to the word of God for help in getting better. She did not break under the pressure that the enemy tried to do to harm, but instead, this built her confidence in God. This song is sure to not only be inspiring but memorable.
