BUT  FIRST PEEP THIS...

The Heart Of Worship Part 1 By Prince Malachi

What is worship to you? Does your definition of worship match Yahweh’s? Is worship about your relationship with Yah or is it a show or program. Is it time for you to display your skills and talents? Do you go through a set routine or do…

What is your concept of worshiping God? Is it attending a church service where you sing hymns, read scripture, recite prayers, and pass the offering tray? While these things may lead to worship, God shows us in Isaiah 58:6-7;9-10, that it’s deeper than that. True worship is more than a weekly ritual. It’s a minute by minute lifestyle. True worship then leads to service to our fellow brothers and sisters.

God only resound to authentic worship

Acts 4:31 King James Version (KJV)

31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

Philippians 3:3 King James Version (KJV)

3 For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.

A True disciple of Yeshua will  worship him in the spirit, and as this passage is putting it, they have circumcised or taken away the flesh. Take some time and think about how most people attempt to worship God.

  1. By attending church services
  2. By praying
  3. By making occasional gifts to needy causes
  4. By thinking of God occasionally
  5. By being baptized or undergoing some ritual
  6. By keeping church rituals and ceremonies
  7. By joining a church

All of these can be a part of worship but none of this is the basis of true worship. The actual basis of worship is the spirit of God. In the Old Testament. worship was about rituals and ceremonies. The death and resurrection of Yahshua fixed it so it's not about religion but about relationship.

Ok, so you have to worship Yahweh in spirit and in truth. To do that you have to build a relationship with him. To do that you have to take away the flesh and empty yourself of pride.

Now here is something you need to understand. If there is one thing that Yahweh and Satan have in common it’s that they both seek and desire worship.

  1. God seeks it because he is worthy and he wants to transform us.
  2. Satan does because he wants to destroy us and worship is the easiest way to do that.

Now We Are Looking At How Worship Relates To Our Everyday Battles

When it came to the Hebrews, worship was a part of their battle strategy. They worshiped Yahweh before, during, and after. Peep these examples

Before: before war the Hebrews sought divine counsel from the Urim and Thummim, priest or prophet, and sacrifices were made.

During :( 1Sam.7-9; 13:9) before engagement a sacrifice was made. They brought out Art of The Covenant.

After: the whole population celebrated victory with songs, dance, and sacrifice.

So we see Israel was a worshipping army. Their success in warfare was dependent on their success in worship. When they were right with God, they had an easy victory. When God was not pleased, they got embarrassed. A good example of them getting embarrassed is in the book of Jeremiah when the Hebrews fell to the Babylonians. Why did they fall? Because they were not worshiping in truth! Oh, they had popular religion but they lacked a penetrating relationship! This can be said about many Christians today

When you study The Book Of Acts The the early church was a worshipping church, so they were a winning church. Now people are going to be mad at me for saying this but, as a whole, today’s church is not a winning church. We are too preoccupied with our own survival, petty concerns, and tradition. But what we have to understand is  Satan does not care what the church does as long as it does not worship.

In the book of Revelation Yahweh gave 7 messages to 7 different churches. Today’s body is most like the church Laodicea. In the flesh, they boasted about what they had and what they were doing but spiritually they were lukewarm. Yahshua told them you are (Rev. 3:17) wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked. This is the picture of a defeated army. To Yahweh, we are a defeated army. But it can be fixed. We just have to make worship about Yahweh and not about entertainment.
