Former NYPD Commissioner Confronts & Blasts LeBron James After Police Criticism
LeBron James voiced criticism towards police again on Monday in a conference call with various members of the media.
“I’ve got nothing nice to say about those cops at all.
If you’re sitting here and telling me that there was no way to subdue [Blake] or detain him before the firing of guns, then you’re sitting here and lying to not only me, you’re lying to every African American, and every black person in the community.”
This criticism has led to former NYPD Commissioner, Bernie Kerik, confronting James, blasting him on Twitter:
“You should not comment or criticize when you have no idea what the job is, nor would you have the courage to do it. I’d challenge [LeBron James] to handcuff someone the refuses to comply, or spend a day in a firearms simulations training center?”

Thompson, who led Georgetown to the 1984 national championship, built the program into a juggernaut, taking the Hoyas to three Final Fours in the 1980s while also winning seven Big East titles and leading the 1988 United States national team to a bronze medal in the Olympics.
"We are heartbroken to share the news of the passing of our father, John Thompson, Jr," the Thompson family said in a statement released by Georgetown. "Our father was an inspiration to many and devoted his life to developing young people not simply on, but most importantly, off the basketball court. He is revered as a historic shepherd of the sport, dedicated to the welfare of his community above all else.
Former NBA Player Believes LeBron James And Draymond Green’s Social Justice Efforts Aren’t Enough, Urges Them To Protest In The Streets
LeBron James and Draymond Green have been huge advocates for social justice, and let their voices be heard by making the most out of their platform, using it to raise awareness for social justice initiatives.
However, former NBA player Royce White, thinks James and Green’s efforts aren’t enough. Appearing on TMZ Sports, White initially called out Green who previously claimed that the NBA should continue the playoffs as it serves as a platform for players to speak for the oppressed.
“He’s mistaken, he’s off the path with that,” White said about Draymond … “This is not about awareness campaigns anymore. Report to the front lines. If you can’t report to the front lines, then send aid.”
White also blasted LeBron James who’s been very active in helping out his communities and pushing for social reform while playing basketball. He urged him to take his advocacy to the streets instead of staying inside the NBA bubble.
“Go to Akron Ohio. March with the people. Stay there until something really changes, and If they choose to be all the way violent, let your body be laying in the street when it’s over.”

Chris Paul scores 28 points for Thunder vs. Rockets [GAME 6 HIGHLIGHTS] | 2020 NBA Playoffs
No. 5 Heat 115 at No. 1 Bucks 104
MIA leads series 1-0
A late revelation that Eric Bledsoe would sit out Game 1 with a hamstring injury didn’t help Milwaukee’s chances against a disciplined, well-rounded Heat club. Jimmy Butler led Miami with a personal playoff best 40 points but he wasn’t the only one that hit the Bucks where it hurt. Goran Dragic added 27 points of his own and the supporting cast of Bam Adebayo, Tyler Herro and Jae Crowder proved too much. Milwaukee stung themselves by shooting just .538 from the line but the real issue that head coach Mike Budenholzer will need to address is how the Bucks can stay competitive when Giannis Antetokounmpo looks mortal. With a healthy and hungry Butler leading the charge against them, they can’t afford to make mistakes.
No. 4 Rockets 100 at No. 5 Thunder 104
Series tied 3-3
The Rockets erased a fourth quarter deficit to hop out in front of the underdog Thunder but veteran Chris Paul wasn’t about to give up on an opportunity to play into the Western Conference semis. At a time when Houston’s well-oiled offensive machine appeared geared to pull away, Paul hit a pair of gutsy step back threes, renewing Oklahoma City’s bid to force a Game 7 late. Paul scored 28 points in sum, while Danilo Gallinari’s 25 helped make up for the fact that the other two thirds of OKC’s three-headed point guard monster struggled from the field
