women (257)

Some men think that women have it made, but that isn’t necessarily true. There are challenges to being a woman that most men don’t know about.

Women have it tougher than men realize. There’s a lot that women have to deal with that would endlessly frustrate the average guy!

There are challenges unique to being a woman, such as:

1. Women are held to higher grooming standards. The average guy can get a $7 haircut, wash his face, and go to work or hit the bars. In all likelihood, if a woman

I am soon to be 47, and a few years back I thought I was having a worsening of my PMS symptoms. I have come to find that the PMS symptoms were perimenopause instead. Most people are familiar with Menopause, which is the cessation of a women’s monthly cycle, but not perimenopause. Perimenopause usually occurs in women between their 30’s to late ’40s. During this time, a woman may experience a vast array of symptoms. Most women will enter menopause by the age of 50.

1. Pray for your spouse.

Prayer is a very powerful way to show love. When we pray for someone, that is Love in action!

I'm so glad that God is not a legalist, and while we should always show Him respect and honor, it's not the posture of the body that is really important, but the posture of the heart. Focusing on Him and how good He has been to us is most important.

Even more powerful is praying with your spouse. If you're not praying together yet, ask the LORD to give y

Today we're gonna meditate on a passage from the Book of Jeremiah 17:7 & 8.

But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes, its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.

Another word for anchored is rooted, and I love what these verses say about being rooted. He will be like a tree planted by the

We don't say ``, I shall not want'', because we have everything we desire. We say it because God is fulling every void in our life with Himself. I want to share some thoughts on one of the most popular verses in the Bible. Psalm. 23:1, The Lord is my shepherd. I shall not want Psalm 23:1 ESV. Through this simple illustration of God being our Shepherd we see how God tenderly takes care to provide, guide and protect us.

Interestingly enough, this Psalm was written by King David, who was once a s

How to Drop Unforgiveness

by Tonja Taylor

I am so thankful the LORD only shows us what we can handle at the time. If He had shown me all the junk at once--the bitterness, anger, guilt, unforgiveness, envy, fear, shame, unworthiness, and such--that was in me for years, I would have surely just been so overwhelmed that I would have just passed out and gone on to Heaven!

"How are you?" our church friends and others ask. "Fine," we learn to say, for when we actually do bare our hearts and share the not-so-fine stuff i

Let's see what happens in Ruth chapter 3. When Boaz had finished eating and drinking and was in good spirits, he went over to lie down at the far end of the grain pile. Ruth approached quietly, uncovered his feet and lay down in the middle of the night. Something startled the man he turned and there was a woman lying at his feet. Who are you he asked? I'm your servant, Ruth she said, spread the corner of your garment over me, since you are a guardian redeemer of our family.

The never ending battle against the Media and it`s bogus  idea of the "PERFECT WOMAN". *sigh*

Lately I have been studying the media, reading articles, watching news, and looking for anything that I can find to make me feel that there is still  hope for our world. If you have read any of my past blogs, then you will already know where my concerns lie.

For those of you that are just reading me for the first time, my concerns are strong regarding women of today and their search for the true

Today we are going to be talking about what to do when life feels totally out of control. Have you ever felt that way before you are doing all the things that you know how to do? In previous years, generations ago women were considered property of the husband or father to whom they belonged.  Now as we have progressed into the 21st century women have stepped up to the plate and are an integral part of society and politics, on an entirely equal footing with men.  In the past, women were considered as belonging to their husbands or fathers, now they are the CEO’s of major corporations.  Women today are a very important part of society, with women in jobs such as judges, Se

Ladies, You Are More Than A Woman

When you open your eyes each morning, you should realize that you are more than your gender, more than your emotions, and more than your natural ability as nurturer. You are more than a woman.

I believe that  womanhood symbolizes strength. Being a woman makes you able to meet tough challenges head on without fear or doubt.

You are  stronger than any label the world tries to pin on you.

I know that your womanhood epitomizes brilliance. You are a definer, and maker of great things. You can e

We Encourage Women Wednesday: Eve

Eve. A household name that every Christian, at some point, has heard. of in their life and time. We all know that God formed woman by operating through the man’s rib. Her connection to man was strong and her disconnection to God was…depleted. I understand Eve more than I probably should. Her story is complex. She was the fullness of a woman, in physical nature and in spiritual truth, and in knowing so, her nature was omitted from the written word. See, it’s my belief that she was a sensual be

You are AMAZING.

You are BEAUTIFUL.

You are CAPABLE.

It’s so easy to get down on yourself because of comparisonitis or wondering why your last venture, meeting, post, email, or event didn’t go as well as you had planned.

It’s tempting to give up altogether-but don’t. Everyone goes through highs and lows whether you are an entrepreneur or at a corporate job.

But when everything doesn’t go exactly as you had planned, don’t let this change what you think about yourself.

You have accomplished
