And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.  Colossians 3:17

Whatever you do...in both your words and your actions do them in the Name of Christ and do it in such a way that brings both Glory and Honor to God!  Forget your empty rituals and traditions...let go of your relics and outward religious displays.

I snapped on my friend when she told me I was wrong.

“Can I be honest?” she asked me before I chopped her head off with my sharp tongue. And even though I responded, “Yes, please be honest,” I wasn’t in the mood to drink down any truth serum.

“The way you talk to people is condescending and really nasty a lot of times,” she said. “I know you’re popular and have a lot of friends and acquaintances, but you say some really harsh, callous things to people and you need to check that.”

Check that?

  1. Write your lists early: Make your to-do list within the first hour of your day, and plan everything you want to try to get done during the day.
  2. Be active: Getting out and taking a walk as you talk, or (if you have the time) going for a run can make a huge difference in your day. When you exercise you release endorphins, and that also helps to promote creativity.
  3. Smart scheduling: Schedule the most important tasks for the time of day when you have the most energy and concentration.

"But I want you to be without care.
He who is unmarried cares for the things of the Lord- how he may please the Lord.
But he who is married cares about the things of the world- how he may please his wife." 1 Corinthians 7:32-33.

A common desire of every female, irrespective of her age, is to have a "caring husband". This is good and worthy of being desired. Any responsible married man must be caring. Any man who is not ready to do this is not prepared to be married.

PSALM 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. (NLT)

Father, You are my hiding place. When it’s hard to crawl out of bed in the morning because pain, grief, or just an overwhelming schedule make me want to hide, You are with me. You whisper Your sweet presence to my heart reminding me that I can come to You for strength and help. What an awesome blessing. Forgive me for the days I jump out of bed quickly believing I can manage the day on my own. I can be so

As a black woman, Lupita Nyong’o knows just how important it is to speak up about her hair.

“My hair is something that, historically, has been shunned,” the “Black Panther” actress told Net-a-Porter for the magazine’s fall fashion issue. “I mean, how often do you hear, ‘You can’t get a job with hair like that’?”

Nyong’o, 35, told Net-a-Porter’s Carolyn Kormann that she still hears that microaggression often.

“Natural, African, kinky hair ― it’s often been painted as uncivilized or wil

I can’t remember not being an athlete. From the time that I could walk, I participated in sports and extracurricular activities. During my earliest years of life, I danced. I did gymnastics for several more years, though I wasn’t good at it. (I was too tall and flimsy to control my body.) By the time I was 11, I started racing competitively, and that’s where I found my niche. I was fast and strong with nearly a perfect hurdle technique. I worked hard. I won often. I grew confident.

virtuous-woman.jpg?w=840

Anyone that has read the Bible for any length of time has read Proverbs 31. Many women have asked the question, "Can I live up to her trait?" The answer given is yes. The only prerequisite to being a virtuous woman is a woman who fears the Lord.

Throughout the Bible, our eye falls on the many stories of virtuous women, from Sarah to Hannah, Elizabeth, and Mary. We often ponder Proverbs 31 especially living in the 21st Century. The world is entirely different.
