LeBron James kept willing the Cleveland Cavaliers back into the game, and George Hill nearly won the game in regulation, but the Golden State Warriors found their offense in overtime and walked away with an unsettling 124-114 victory in Game 1 of the N.B.A. finals on Thursday.

All the talk coming into the game had been about this being one of the largest mismatches in finals history, but the Warriors barely survived at home despite getting 26 points from Kevin Durant and 29 points fr

With a Game 7 win over the Celtics on Sunday, the Cavaliers punched their ticket to their fourth consecutive NBA Finals appearance. On the other side, the Warriors did the same with a Game 7 win over the Rockets. As a result, we have Cavaliers-Warriors Round 4, as both teams look to be crowned champions once again.

The remainder of the playoff games will be carried on ABC, and there are also plenty of streaming options for you cord-cutters out there (or those of you who just aren’t near a TV).

Stephen Curry and Golden State turned all those Houston bricks into a road back to the NBA Finals.

Needing not only all their firepower but also 27 straight misses by the Rockets during an epic cold streak from 3-point range, the Warriors rallied to keep alive their hopes for a repeat.

Kevin Durant scored 34 points, Curry sparked another third-quarter turnaround, and the Warriors earned a fourth straight trip to the NBA Finals by beating the Rockets 101-92 in Game 7 of the Western Conferen

CLEVELAND -- The Cleveland Cavaliers had a pep in their collective step on Saturday, and they should have. Down 2-0 heading into Game 3 of their conference finals series against the Boston Celtics, the Cavaliers' season was essentially on the line.

You could tell mere minutes into the game that this would be different. Cavs guards George Hill and J.R. Smith knocked down 3-pointers created by LeBron James. Boston swingman Jaylen Brown stepped out of bounds when trying to cha

Houston takes advantage of Steph Curry's lackluster defense, to the tune of 20 points when the point guard was the primary defender.

The Houston Rockets were the best team in the NBA in the regular season.

They played like it Wednesday night, using a balanced scoring attack to rout the Golden State Warriors 127-105 and even the Western Conference finals at one game apiece.

James Harden and Eric Gordon each scored 27 points on a night Houston had five players score 16 points or more.

Boston forward Marcus Morris not only wanted the challenge of guarding Cleveland superstar LeBron James, he also said just one player could defend James better than him.

Bold statement.

Morris backed it up.

Starting for the first time in the playoffs for the Celtics, Morris – with help from his teammates – held James to 15 points on 5-for-16 shooting, limiting James to fewer than 22 points for the first time in this season’s playoffs. James also had seven of his team’s nine turnovers.

HOUSTON -- Well, well, well. Look at what we have here: A series.

Perhaps we shouldn't be all that surprised that the Utah Jazz, after getting stomped in Game 1, gave the Houston Rockets their own sort of beatdown in Wednesday's Game 2 of the Western Conference semifinals. After ending the regular season 29-6 -- the NBA's best team after the All-Star break -- and after dispensing with the Oklah

OAKLAND, Calif. -- You know when you taste a dish and think, "That's good, but it's just missing a little something." That was the Warriors for the past few weeks.

Just like the guacamole needs a pinch of salt or a squirt of lime to take it from good to sublime, the Warriors needed the final ingredient to their dynastic air of invincibility. In a 121-116 victory in Game 2 against the Pelicans on Tuesday, Step

Exit interviews have taken place. Locker rooms have been cleaned out. Headlines have been made. Forward-looking think pieces are scattered across the interwebz. The wounds that come with being bounced in the first round have, in most cases, yet to fully heal, but the process behind moving on does not wait for closure

4 reasons Celtics won Game 1 despite another key injury

The Boston Celtics entered Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals at a severe disadvantage against the surging Philadelphia 76ers, winners of 20 of their last 21 games. Not only was Boston without the services of All-Star talents Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward, but one of their top scorers in Jaylen Brown was absent due to a right hamstring injury.

With a raucous crowd at TD Garden in their corner, the Celtics overcame a lack of

James Harden Calls Rockets Offense 'Different' After Game 1 Blowout Win vs. Jazz

The Utah Jazz feature a number of defensive weapons to throw at the Houston Rockets, including Rudy Gobert protecting the rim and Jae Crowder to bother perimeter shooters, but an offense James Hardencalled "different" had no issue during Sunday's Game 1 in a 110-96 victory.

As NBA TV shared, the MVP candidate had plenty of good things to say about his team's performance, which was largely driven by his outing of 41

Draymond Green knocks down a 3-pointer that gets Steph Curry to rise to his feet on the bench. (0:23)

With Boston's victory, the home team won every single game in this series. The injured Celtics will now take on the 76ers in a matchup between the East's No. 2 and No. 3 seeds. Despite being the higher seed, Boston is going to come in as underdogs. If the Celtics are going to win that series, they'll need to do to Philadelphia what they did in Game 7 against Milwaukee.
