Madea’s days of crude language and criminal offenses are coming to an end.
Tyler Perry, 49, revealed Monday that he’s killing off the iconic character next year, nearly two decades after everyone was introduced to the gun-toting grandmother.
“This is it,” Perry told host Bevy Smith Monday on her SiriusXM radio show, “Bevelations.” “It’s time for me to kill that old (expletive). I’m tired!”
Don’t fret. Madea will make a final cameo in a farewell stage tour and in 2019’s “Tyler Perry’s A Madea Fa

Are you ready to step back through the wardrobe? Netflix sure hopes you are, because they’ve just announced that they’re developing both films and TV shows based on C.S. Lewis’ classic children’s fantasy books, The Chronicles of Narnia.
From the sounds of this, it’s a pretty expansive deal, presumably with one eye on having something to compete with Amazon’s upcoming The Lord of the Rings show. The news was confirmed on the official Facebook page for Narnia, with Ted Sarandos, Chief Cont
As you no doubt know, Venom‘s intended to be the first installment of Sony’s Universe of Marvel Characters, and in this ambitious franchise, Eddie Brock’s standalone debut appears to be taking some inspiration from its forebears. Namely, just as the MCU and Warner’s MonsterVerse have done in the past, the new Ruben Fleischer-helmed flick will be teasing what’s to come via a couple of post-credits sequences.
The first and more interesting of these will see Eddie pay Cletus Kasady (Woody Harrelso
Eddie Brock and his alien symbiote other half aren’t having a great day, that’s for sure.
The upcoming Venom movie has been receiving an overwhelmingly negative response on Twitter now that the social media embargo has been lifted. With the full embargo expiring tonight as well, the first proper reviews are starting to pour out online and just like those initial reactions, they’re pretty brutal.
Admittedly, there does seem to be a few things to like about the film – Tom Hardy’s performance, for
It was previously reported that there were some major differences in the appearance of Disney’s first Black princess, Tiana, in the trailer for ”Wreck-It Ralph 2.”
Tiana, as well as the other minority Disney princesses, were a bit whitewashed from their original features, such as skin tone, hair, nose, etc., which in turn sparked widespread backlash.
But now, it appears the backlash worked, and with cooperation between Color of Change and Disney Animation, Tiana,

LeBron James' production company, SpringHill Entertainment, announced Wednesday that Ryan Coogler - whose past films include "Black Panther," "Creed," and "Fruitvale Station" - will produce "Space Jam 2."
"I loved his vision (for 'Black Panther')," James told The Hollywood Reporter's Marisa Guthrie, noting that there were no black superheroes when he was a kid growing up in Akron, Ohio. "So for Ryan to be able to bring that to kids, it's amazing."

Nearly five years after Paul Walker’s death, his brothers say they’re open to playing his character again in the “Fast and Furious” franchise.
Producers asked Caleb and Cody Walker to fill in for their brother and help complete “Furious 7” after he died in a fiery off-set car crash in November 2013.
His face was digitally superimposed onto his brothers’ performances for scenes that Walker had not yet shot and in a modified ending in which his character Brian O’Conner drives off into the sunset.
Octavia Spencer's next project is a literal rags-to-riches story. The Oscar winner will executive produce and star in "Madam C.J. Walker," a limited series on Netflix that tells the true story of the woman who went from washing clothes to becoming one of the very few African-American female millionaires of the early 20th century.
Ms. Walker was born in Louisiana in 1867 to two former slaves. She was orphaned at 7 and married at 14. She washed clothes for $1.50 a day, until the birth
Kyrie Irving doesn’t have to worry about free agency until next summer, though he’s got plenty to keep him busy for now.
There’s a movie to promote and a knee to mend. He hopes he’s good on screen, but wants to be better than ever on the court.
“Now becomes the real climb to Mount Everest, back to the top,” Irving said Monday. “So I’m just taking my time.”
The Boston Celtics All-Star is hoping he can start playing again in a couple weeks. But he’s staying patient in his rehab from late-season
