Winston Churchill once said, “Success is stumbling from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm.”

The problem is, enthusiasm can be hard to come by, especially when yours has taken a beating. Setbacks and disappointments have a way of knocking it down. We start doubting ourselves and lose sight of who we really are. Without confidence, it becomes impossible to try, guaranteeing failure.

Thankfully, we know one thing for certain: confidence can be reclaimed, as every successful person

Here is a Christian daily devotional for motivational Monday:

"This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it." (Psalm 118:24)

Today is a new day, a fresh start. It is a day that the Lord has made, and we can choose to rejoice and be glad in it. We can choose to focus on the good things in our lives, and to be grateful for all that God has given us. We can choose to be positive and hopeful, and to believe that today will be a great day.

Let us not forget that God is wit

Have you ever felt like you are missing out on God's blessings in your life? Do you wonder why others seem to have more joy, peace, and abundance than you do? If so, you might be blocking your blessings without even realizing it.

Blocking your blessings means that you are hindering God's work in your life by your own actions, attitudes, or beliefs. You are not allowing God to bless you as He desires, because you are not aligned with His will or His ways.

Some of the common ways that we block our

And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and  faint.--Galatians 6:9, AMPC

Almost all of us true Believers in Christ have felt discouragement; thoughts of "Why bother? What you're doing is not making any difference. You're just wasting your time and efforts," etc.

I’m sure even the LORD Jesus felt frustration, and was tempted to give u

Learning to live above our circumstances requires a lifelong commitment to God’s Ways and a strong desire to mature and grow in Christ, and even with a degree of success, this countenance is not an easy one to sustain. Abiding under the safety of God’s Wing, as these Psalms so eloquently depict this spiritually sustaining metaphor, is an important key in reaching this life-changing pinnacle. For when we learn to trust Christ Jesus through all of our trials and tribulations

13 If we are faithless [do not believe and are untrue to Him], He remains true (faithful to His Word and His righteous character), for He cannot deny Himself.--2 Timothy 2:13, AMPC

As the song "Way Maker" says, "Even when we don't see it, He's working...."! Hallelujah!

Only take heed, and guard your life diligently, lest you forget the things which your eyes  have seen and lest they depart from your [mind and] heart all the days of your life. Teach them to your children an

Why do we worry?

For me, it just comes naturally. My parents were worriers.

My mind goes back to final days before Mom’s death. She was recovering from lung cancer surgery and we were making important decisions.

Plans for Dad to enter assisted living were finalized. At the age of 87, his health was declining; he needed care that Mom could no longer provide. His social security payments would cover monthly payments to a nearby Veterans group home.

Mom’s small social security check w

Many will remember a time when bankers didn’t always require proof of collateral.

The bankers and customers lived, worked and worshiped in the same small towns. Trusting the reputations of loan applicants they had faith in receiving promised payments. Deals were closed with confidence and a firm handshake.

Faith is a firm foundation.

“Now faith is the certainty of things hoped for, a proof of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1 NASB).”

That Bible verse is a brief scripture passage but i

9 So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.--Galatians 6:9, NLT

God is faithful to reward our work, however we give to His Kingdom; prayer, finances, material goods, encouragement, service--He will reward it all. We are the Light in the world, and we are making a difference, no matter how it seems!

Sometimes I have been tempted to stop praying for people, especially after praying for them for

Thought:  Most of us reading this would agree were living in troublesome times.  The last three years have made a grievous change in our lifestyle.  Mandatory vaccines, face masks, social distancing, closing of schools and churches, medical care compromised, and the list goes on like something out of a bad fiction movie.  A high percentage of the masses obeyed the rules coming from maniacal dictators behind the scenes whose goal was to turn America into a third world country.

The biggest secret to being happy is to be thankful!

Just start choosing to thank the LORD (as He commands in I Thessalonians 5), and you will soon starting thinking on things above, and remembering the goodness of God!

6 [And it is, indeed, a source of immense profit, for] godliness accompanied with contentment (that contentment which is a sense of [inward sufficiency) is great and abundant gain. 7 For we brought nothing into the world, and obviously we cannot take anything o

Have you heard any bad news this week, we are inundated by them. The media blasts us with waves and waves of them. Our friends and acquaintances peddle them. We live in a very large world, that is filled to the brim with unpleasant news. History is replete with tales of them, the present teams with them, and many do not believe in the possibility of a future that is not devoid of them.

The Book of Job puts it this way, man who is born of woman is a few days and full of trouble. It is almost as i
