Listen to Dr. Tony Evans speak on Ferguson and race relations from God’s perspective.

Hello, this is Dr. Tony Evans with the Urban Alternative, and I know you, like myself, are concerned about the racial climate in our country, today, and the recent incidents in Ferguson, Missouri, have demonstrated that even though we may have come a long way, we still have a long way to go; and it demonstrates clearly that this issue of racial division is just below the s

Jimmy Iovine? Apple’s new partner? To judge by the media hurrahs, Apple’s future?

What’s wrong with this picture?

Apple is a top-down, buttoned-down, lockstep enterprise managed, after Steve Jobs’ death, by his apparatchiks and other relative automatons. Iovine, a producer and impresario from the music industry’s bad days, is a promoter and publicity seeker who has often veered toward outré practices and personalities.

So, Apple,

When they launched Beats Electronics some six years ago in 2008, I somehow doubt that Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine had any idea Apple might one day seek to purchase their little headphone venture to the tune of $3.2 billion. Yet, it appears that is exactly what is about to go down. I hope the two of them are kicking back with a bottle of Cristal right now, toasting to their success. But it’s really Apple that should be celebrating, because if this deal goes through, the United States’ most p

AT&T says it will start offering customers a subscription to streaming service Beats Music in a package that gives as many as five family members unlimited streaming and song downloading for $15 a month.
The offer, a good deal if even two people use it, is an attempt to bring down the cost of music for families that pay AT&T for cellphone service. It's part of Beats' major launch strategy since its headphone maker parent, Beats Electronics, bought streaming service MOG in 2012.

MartinLutherKingJr_MD.jpg

Last week, with the opening of the Washington, D.C. memorial, our country rightfully honored the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. His powerful voice summoned the non-violent protest of the infringement of civil rights of the African-American community.
Learning about King's speech and our American Civil War history in elementary school, I remember thinking, "I wished I lived north of the Mason-Dixon line. Those who fought to free slaves didn't come from my neck of the woods." Whenever we
