Sometimes we wonder why we don't get the things we want as soon as we want them. Unfortunately, we are in a generation that desires to see this happen instantly. We have fast food and transportation. We have minimized the time taken to do longer tasks. This generation considers time an asset and will always improve on having things done efficiently and effectively. We pat ourselves on the back because, in truth, we have done an amazing job.

Unfortunately, as we advance in technology, we decli

As much as rejection is a very frequent occurrence in life, we are quick to feel bad about it. Each time it happens to us almost forgetting that God can still work out good from any situation. I like to think of rejection as an opportunity to get access to something even better. Yes, it hurts it may look like we gave something all we had and still got rejected. However, if there's better which there always is, then the rejection keeps us open to receiving that better opportunity.

 Psalm 24:1 says

The earth is the Lords, and [a]all it contains, The world, and those who live in it..

God is the owner of the universe and everything in it. Today we have people who own houses and businesses across the globe. These people decide what should and should not happen their decisions stand because they own them as the owner of anything.

You decide what you want to do with that thing. In the same way, the Lord owns the earth. He owns the people on the earth, owns the resources an

Life has many issues that we need to consider. We can easily get carried away by these burdens and forget the main reason why we are here. Life can be very cumbersome for many people. They tend to lose themselves from trying to keep up with schooling, wanting better careers, handling relationships. Life comes as almost impossible. Many people have been stressed out, some have become very depressed and others have looked to drugs to help keep them up.

But there is a way you can live a better li

Life will knock you down and laugh at you. Life will hit you when you're trying to live for Jesus. Life is no respecter of persons. But that's when you say, "you know what, I'm getting up, I'm not going to quit. I'm not. I may get knocked down nine times, but I'm going to get up 10 times. I'm not going to quit." In the words of the great theologian Rocky Balboa, - and I quote, "it's not how hard you can hit that makes you a winner, but it's how hard you can get hit and get up and keep going".

As you build your faith, you block out the spirit of fear. Fear and faith do not mix, they are complete opposites. So, if you'll take just one thing away from my message today, let it be this. God has not given you a spirit of fear. He has given you a spirit of power, love and a sound mind. Deuteronomy 31 verse 8 says

 The Lord is the one who goes ahead of you; He will be with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”

Everyone loves to be comfortable, stress-free and happy. A unique sense of satisfaction comes when there are no challenges when there is peace and everything is working out smoothly. However, we all know that in life, peace and prosperity are not always the case. There are times when you will pass through hardship and diverse challenges before peace and prosperity arrive. This is a natural occurrence in life, both born-again Christians and non-believers.

Have this same experience, however, bel

It is difficult to understand that pain has a purpose when you are the one suffering it. It is very easy to say it to someone else, but admitting it to yourself might be quite challenging. Despite this, the truth is that your pain has a purpose. The truth is, God is aware of the pain you are passing through. He is aware of the difficulties you are faced with and while he does not enjoy seeing you in pain, he is working out. Even the pain for your good, in fact, some of those circumstances only o

In our world today, everyone uses the word love, even when they don’t understand what love is. For example, we see two women having sexual relations with one another, some going to the extent of even getting married under the name of love. That isn’t love; it is an abuse or misrepresentation of love. A man bruises and batters your face on a regular basis and you say he loves you, he just has a problem expressing his emotions. The further away we are from God, the easier it

As Christians who believe in the divine empowering of a holy God, we are often encouraged to place unwavering trust in this spirit-being.

When we trust in the Lord for the unknowns in life, (family estrangement, suicide, chronic illness, hospice, mental illness, addictio

God, loves and takes care of his children. He always has good plans for us. Jeremiah 29. Verse 11 says...

God also knows that we live in a world where we can become easily distracted by things and even other people. He created us to be relational beings. This is why we are always around people and can't live purposely in isolation. Because of this, he

Look up; turn your eyes toward the merciful LORD.

Worship the LORD; meditate on the words of the Psalmist.

“I will raise my eyes to the mountains;
From where will my help come?
My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.
He will not allow your foot to slip;
He who watches over you will not slumber.
Behold, He who watches over Israel
Will neither slumber nor sleep.

The Lord is your protector;
The Lord is your shade on your right hand.

            In spite of what or who you may think of when you hear the word “father,” and in spite of the fact that a father is biologically required for the birth of a child, according to the Bible, a father is a God-ordained office in a family situation and in the life of a child.  Regardless of our modern acceptance of sinful practices (and no more comment is required for this article), the Biblical definition of a family is a father, a mother and the

It was a simple book-keeping error.

We were getting married in Syracuse, NY and planning a move to Mississippi (where Norm had been hired to work at WDDT, Greenville). Norm forgot to balance his check book in all the excitement of the wedding ceremony and move preparations.

Maybe he could blame the memory lapse on sleep deprivation; he’d been working the midnight-6am shift at WNDR, Syracuse. If my memory serves me he also paid for his wedding tuxedo twice.

We got a letter f
