Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. James 1:27
So you say that you have good religion...really...prove it. Why is it so easy for us to believe and trust God for the things that "we" need and lose sight that we are supposed to be equally or more concerned about our brothers and sisters. How is it that we are able to turn a blind eye and deaf ear to th

"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Rom 6:23
Another word for wages is cost or price. The price of sin is death. Many people have heard this statement before, but like Eve in the Garden of Eden, many of them fall for that old "You're not really going to die" trick. We mistake God's Grace period and actually think that we will never have
And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Colossians 3:17
Whatever you do...in both your words and your actions do them in the Name of Christ and do it in such a way that brings both Glory and Honor to God! Forget your empty rituals and traditions...let go of your relics and outward religious displays.
Today's Challenge: Pretend that you can't use words to share the Gospel...how would you spell o
God, investigate my life; get all the facts firsthand.
I'm an open book to you;
even from a distance, you know what I'm thinking.
You know when I leave and when I get back;
I'm never out of your sight.
You know everything I'm going to say
before I start the first sentence.
I look behind me and you're there,
then up ahead and you're there, too—
your reassuring presence, coming and going.
This is too much, too wonderful—
I can't take it all in!
Place Your Life Before God

It’s easy to believe that success or popularity equals “manhood”. But do not be deceived! The God who created you and knows you intimately, looks beneath the surface into the recesses of the heart, and what really matters is what he sees in there. Lose that perspective and begin to live your life with the ideals of the world, guided by your own selfish desires, and fall short of what God has planned for your life. On the other hand, live life with an undying deep desire to
God said, "I've taken a good, long look at the affliction of my people in Egypt. I've heard their cries for deliverance from their slave masters; I know all about their pain. And now I have come down to help them, pry them loose from the grip of Egypt, get them out of that country and bring them to a good land with wide-open spaces, a land lush with milk and honey, the land of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite.

Amalek came and fought Israel at Rephidim. Moses ordered Joshua: "Select some men for us and go out and fight Amalek. Tomorrow I will take my stand on top of the hill holding God's staff."
Joshua did what Moses ordered in order to fight Amalek. And Moses, Aaron, and Hur went to the top of the hill. It turned out that whenever Moses raised his hands, Israel was winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, Amalek was winning. But Moses' hands got tired. So they got a stone and set it under
God means what he says. What he says goes. His powerful Word is sharp as a surgeon's scalpel, cutting through everything, whether doubt or defense, laying us open to listen and obey. Nothing and no one is impervious to God's Word. We can't get away from it—no matter what.
So, what do you think? With God on our side like this, how can we lose? If God didn't hesitate to put everything on the line for us, embracing our condition and exposing himself to the worst by sending his own Son, is there anything else he wouldn't gladly and freely do for us? And who would dare tangle with God by messing with one of God's chosen? Who would dare even to point a finger? The One who died for us—who was raised to life for us!—is in the presence of God at this very moment sticki
The Word of God well understood and religiously obeyed is the shortest route to spiritual perfection. And we must not select a few favorite passages to the exclusion of others. Nothing less than a whole Bible can make a whole Christian.
As the quote above suggests, it is through reading understanding and obeying The Word of God that we grow and develop as followers of Christ. This is not something we should occasionally do, it should be the foundation and fabric of our lives.

for they bring down suffering upon me and revile me in their anger.
My heart is in anguish within me; the terrors of death assail me.
Fear and trembling have beset me; horror has overwhelmed me.

See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
-Ephesians 5:15-16
There are a lot of things going on these days, most of them designed to distract us and to put it bluntly, if allowed many of these things will allow us to entertain ourselves to death! It's time we wake up and smell the "spiritual coffee" that's brewing. God has given us much...and to whom much is given, much is required. Don't be mind
