John 15:13
The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?

“Ding!” The bell rang. Joe slumped onto the stool his trainer thrust into his corner as he came to the end of a bloody round 10. He could feel his nose was broken; he had a gaping tear above his left eye. Every bone and muscle in his body ached with intensity. Joe was losing on points, he knew it. “Joe, mate, you can do this!” said his trainer, Mike patching his wounds. “Just get in there and use yo

1 Peter 1:25
“But the word of the Lord endures forever.” Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you.

This motivational thought is based on God’s words to the prophet Jeremiah concerning the return of the Jews to Jerusalem after 70 years of Babylonian captivity. Jeremiah said, “This is what the Lord says, ‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’” Within its his

What’s your idea of the good life?

Maybe you have a page long bucket list; there are things you’d like to do and places you want to do.

Many think of the good life as living in luxury and rubbing elbows with the rich and famous.

They'd have household servants at their beckoned call.

We don’t have to be wealthy to experience the good life.

The good life is a blessed life.

“Blessed is the man
Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners

Elijah prayed, “O Lord, God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day that you are God in Israel, and that I am your servant, and that I have done all these things at your word (1 Kings 18:36b ESV).”

Elijah’s faith and obedience inspires me.

At times I’m afraid or discouraged.

God’s remedy might be rest and nourishment.

“Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and how he had killed all the prophets with the sword. Then Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah, sa

When I was a child, I didn't want to go to school. In fact I hated it, and I barely made it through by the skin of my teeth. I even tried a semester of college because I believed that it was expected of me, but I didn't return because I was bored with what I was learning. Now I go to school because I want to, because I have found something that I am passionate about learning. I liked when the video said that we as adults are" active, interactive, and proactive" in how we apply

When Starting a New Challenge it is important that you have a strategy and motivation.

A rock climber cannot just start climbing the side of a mountain without first examining the terrain. They must find the best route to the top, which way will be the safest? As we start a new challenge we must determine what our Goals are and what will keep us going when we get tired? A rock climber cannot decide what to do after they get tired. You cannot decide what to do after you ge

(Something triggers a memory) and I’m taken back through time to the basement of our Mycenae home. We called it the cellar and it was the original Man cave.

I’m a young girl alone in a far corner of our damp and musty cellar. Cinder blocks go from floor to ceiling to make cellar walls. I’ve learned the hard way that getting too close to the jagged blocks can cut my fingers.

Standing on the concrete floor, I look up at my father’s workbench. It intrigues me. I wonder what all th

Private Bert DeBrute, a member of Lance Corporal Carlos Ruiz’s Marine squad, was shot in the back during the Marine’s push to take the city of Fallujah, Iraq from foreign fighters. Before his evaluation, Private DeBrute requested Lance Corporal Ruiz pray for him. Almost as soon as Private DeBrute had been removed for medical treatment, the word had come back that he had injuries that left him paralyzed. Lance Corporal Ruiz recalled he had promised his subordinate that he wo

Nothing is impossible in the eyes of your heavenly father, he alone created the world. He alone brought all life into existence. If he can do this, he can turn your situation around, because nothing is too difficult for him. Do not let your earthly pain and advice from others stop you from running to God in your hard and difficult moments, because what God cannot do doesn't exist. Ignore that doctor telling you that your sickness has no cure; that boss that tells you that you're not qualified fo

God will never take something away from you without the intention of replacing it with something much better. Trust that God will put the right people in your life at the right time and for the right seasons. God's plan is always the best. Sometimes the process is painful and hard, but don't forget that when God is silent, he's doing something for you.

Romans, chapter 8:28, says,

28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[a] have been called according to

The Bible admonishes us as Believers to trust in the Lord. Do you know why? Because even God knows that it is hard to trust without knowledge, information or physical evidence. However, true faith is tested when you do not understand the full scope of things, but choose to believe that someone has your best interest at heart. Trust is a choice. One that is made actively and not passively. The same way a man would accept to be joined to a woman forever, knowing full well that this woman can chang

Trust is a necessity in both human and spiritual relationships. We lean towards people who have our best interests at heart. Trust is simply the ability to rely on something or someone. God is our maker and our heavenly father in the same way that a child would put all their trust in their parents to guide them. That's why we, as Christians, should put our trust in God to guide us. There can be no relationship without trust. Trust Works hand and hand with faith, because we can't have faith in so

Sin has caused an eternal war between man and his maker, Yahweh. Sin is the complete opposite of everything our God stands for. The first man and woman created by God, sinned against him in the Garden of Eden by eating the tree of knowledge, which God had instructed them against sin, is complete disobedience to laws and rules. It can be caused by several reasons, traced to selfishness, lust greed, anger, pride and laziness. A sin is an immoral act, considered a transgression of Divine Law.

If we're being honest, we would realize that many things are fighting for our attention. In life, we have relationships to manage Financial burdens, to settle businesses, to work on career goals, to meet and other things that draw our attention. Unfortunately, many of us put God in the last place on our list of preferences. We don't spend enough time with God.  We try to use God to satisfy our other needs, but this isn't meant to be, while those other needs are valid and need our attention, God

God is always working behind the scenes. God can be described as a movie director. You can never see in a real movie, but his presence is always felt. It is the movie director that brings a movie to life. Imagine watching a movie where you see the director keep shouting cut, repeat action. You will immediately get tired of the film. This is why they work behind the scenes, and this is how God works. Unlike a movie director, God doesn't come before us and Lord his desires over us. He can suggest

We may need moments to feel happy, but to always experience the joy of the Lord, we need faith in all of God's promises:. When you look through the scriptures, we are often told to rejoice, always be full of joy in the Lord, or be of good cheer. You will notice that these statements do not come as a recommendation, but rather as an instruction. This shows us that joy is something we must practice as believers.

Therefore, whatever the surrounding circumstances or situations, your disposition sh

The promise of God's presence is constant and never changing. The light of his presence shines on you daily. Even in that dark situation or circumstance that seems overwhelming. As Believers, we do not work by feeling or sight, but we move with the eyes of faith. The fact that the Bible reveals that the current Heaven and Earth will pass away one day should give you confidence that your present negative situation or circumstance can also be rolled away in the Winking of an eye, regardless of the

 Psalm 24:1 says

The earth is the Lords, and [a]all it contains, The world, and those who live in it..

God is the owner of the universe and everything in it. Today we have people who own houses and businesses across the globe. These people decide what should and should not happen their decisions stand because they own them as the owner of anything.

You decide what you want to do with that thing. In the same way, the Lord owns the earth. He owns the people on the earth, owns the resources an

Life will knock you down and laugh at you. Life will hit you when you're trying to live for Jesus. Life is no respecter of persons. But that's when you say, "you know what, I'm getting up, I'm not going to quit. I'm not. I may get knocked down nine times, but I'm going to get up 10 times. I'm not going to quit." In the words of the great theologian Rocky Balboa, - and I quote, "it's not how hard you can hit that makes you a winner, but it's how hard you can get hit and get up and keep going".
