You may be familiar with the verse in the Bible that tells us that our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit.

“Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God?….” 1 Corinthians 6:19

This verse is a reminder that God’s Spirit, the Holy Spirit, dwells in us. This verse is a reason for believers of Jesus to take care of our bodies, as it should be.

But, how many of us are mindful of the next verse that Paul writes…

8+Natural+Ways+to+Boost+Your+Immune+System

By Eugene Wallace

The immune system is the body defense system that defends against infectious microorganisms such as bacteria, fungi, and viruses. It responds by attacking the organisms that tend to invade the body and cause diseases. However, at times, due to various reasons, the system gets overpowered, and the microorganisms will invade the body and make it sick. They also destroy the white blood cells in the body, hence making the body susceptible to various other diseases if one is not tr

Since the laws of nature are the laws of God, it is plainly our duty to give these laws careful study. We should study their requirements in regard to our own bodies and conform to them. Ignorance in these things is sin.

“Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ?” “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your sp

A few weeks ago, I joined many evangelicals—a number of Hispanics among them—in New York City for “A Conversation About America’s Future with Donald Trump and Ben Carson.” Trump was asked a “softball” question by a Hispanic leader: “You have often spoken of building a wall for our southern border, but how will you build a bridge to Hispanics, the fastest growing demographic in our nation?”

Trump’s answer was hardly satisfactory (more of that below). But it isn’t as if we H

In a speech weighted with America’s complicated racial history, Democrat Hillary Clinton laced into Republican presidential rival Donald Trump on Wednesday, accusing him of fueling divisions among Americans over race and religion.

"His campaign is as divisive as any we have seen in our lifetimes," Clinton said at a campaign appearance at the Illinois state house in Springfield. "It is built on stoking mistrust and pitting American against American. It's there in everything he says and everythi

Amidst all the turmoil, racial tension, and back and forth arguments on the news and social media, here is one positive thing you can share that shows two sides coming together under prayer.

Facebook user, Rayshone Burke Manuel, put up an inspiring post that features him praying with a police officer in the middle of a parking lot. Manuel, also known as the artist, I AM BURKE, used his hip-hop track, “WAR ROOM (No Prayer, No Power)” as the background track for the video.

Headlines across the nation herald presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s Tuesday meeting with over 1,000 major Evangelical leaders and the launch of his Evangelical Executive Advisory Board which includes James Dobson, Jerry Falwell, Jr., and David Jeremiah. It’s understandable if you want to avoid more presidential race coverage, but we just can’t ignore some of our Evangelical leaders’ puzzling response to Trump.

5 Powerful Life Lessons From A Hilarious Christian Rap Video

Viktory release a music video for the second single off of the new album “Tomorrow Came” called “We Won’t Stop”. Instead of following the mode, Viktory elected to create a hilariously entertaining abstract satire spoof of two old men tired of the younger generation playing loud music, so they take matters into their own hands. As wild and wacky as the video appears, There are some really true and meaningful themes on friendship,

We have 2, possibly 3 generations growing up without examples of men and women leaders of color, outside of entertainment.  So we want to stop, recognize and celebrate the unsung heroes, literally.  When my 42-year-old cousin, husband, father, community leader, and business professional died unexpectedly in December of 2014, I was challenged to think about the impact of his life.  I processed why he was a great man and what we should celebrate.  I thought about many of the men I follow, respec

The Behavior of Women

Titus 2:3-5 teaches us how women, both younger and older, should act. And to be honest it is in direct contrast of we see in the home, workplace, classroom and community today. First lets discuss our older women. Older women are to be reverent and pure. They are to be set apart for the world in thought and behavior. They should only move and speak in the spirit of holiness and be focuses on sacred things. Older women should be pious

JESUS CHRIST; FACT OR FICTION

rhyse1.jpg

by Daniel Dela Dunoo

Quite recently, two Ghanaian music artistes, namely Mzbel and Black Rasta on separate platforms emphatically stated that Jesus Christ is a fictional character and not a historical figure as taught by the Church (and as contained in the New Testament of the Bible). They insist that the stories surrounding Jesus Christ as contained in the Bible were made up and claim they arrived at such conclusions through research. Their assertions were given much publicity in the Ghanaian

Ozay Moore shares, "From the time of the Trayvon Martin case, the amount of conversations I've had with folks who do not identify with the black experience in America (but) have come to settle on disturbing conclusions about race and class has been unsettling. My verse although it aggressively conveys a distaste towards improper

When I was kid I loved reading comic books. The issues I enjoyed the most were the ones that told a heroes origin story. This album is my "origin story". While I'm no hero, I do have a story to tell and my story was shaped by four events that all happened...in 1993.:

* Death of my mother.
* Falling in love with music.
* Viewing pornographic material for the first time.
* Giving my life to Christ.

Each song on the album will be told through the lens of these four events and give listeners a pea

Isaiah 55:8-9, "'My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,' says the Lord. 'And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.'"

Have you ever asked God for something only to get it and then realize you didn't really understand what you were asking for?

This very thing has happened to me before. I actually had this happen to me again this mont

What Are You Doing For God?

lovepusher_mos2007.jpgBy Lori Godfrey

As Christians and people alike, we all know God exists. He has always been and he always will be. We also know that he is our provider and our sustainer in this life, if we will allow him to.

In this hectic world in which we live many times we find ourselves looking heavenward and saying, "There is never enough time in the day", as we run around from place to place forgetting the most important person in our livesthe God who gave us life.

As my title asks, What are you doing for Go

If you're like most people, you've probably made a few resolutions for the coming year. Perhaps, you'll lose weight, exercise more, watch less television, or spend more time with God. The problem with resolutions is that they're only skin deep. You make a proclamation and then you use your willpower to try to fulfill it. The Bible says that the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. Although our intentions are good, we lack the wherewithal or persistence to stick with our new

A Thankful Life

Graph-Page-1.jpg

by  Susan Ferguson

It is good to give thanks to the Lord, And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High. (Psalm 92:1 NKJV)

It's easy to give thanks when life is going well. Ironically, this is the time when we're least likely to count our blessings. What about when life goes wrong? It's when we're faced with hardship that we need gratitude the most.

In troubled times, gratitude doesn't come naturally for us, but it can be developed. With each new day, we can make the choice to be thankful. Ch
