Oh. La. Oh. La.Eh.

If those five words didn’t put a smile on your face and make you think about high top fades, blousy pants and Cross Colours, check your pulse

Of course Oh. La. Oh. La.Eh. is from Kid N’ Play’s 1988 Go-Go infused hip hop hit, Rollin’ with Kid’N Play off of their debut album 2 Hype.

2 Hype’s success led to a couple more albums and the hugely popular House Party films.

Kid N’ Play officially called it quits in the mid-90’s and around that time Christopher “Play” Martin, became a born-again Christian and has focused on Holy Hip Hop, while Christopher “Kid” Reid kept himself busy after the split acting and pursuing a comedy career.

Though duo officially reunited in 2010 and began touring to celebrate the 20th anniversary of House Party’s release, they need their fan’s help to raise a quarter of a million dollars to greenlight a couple of their upcoming projects: Kid N' Play: Coast-to-Coast, a reality TV series and a movie, SkyKapz.

The reality TV series will be filmed as Kid N’ Play travel around the country meeting with their fans as they prepare to shoot SkyKapz.

SkyKapzis an inspiring and entertaining story of two lifelong friends as they work and play together at a major metropolitan airport while struggling to break through in the entertainment industry.

To raise the funds they need, the duo have taken their project to grassroots fundraising site Kickstarter.

In exchange for a fan’s support, he or she receives something in return. For instance, fans who support Kid N’ Play’s project at the $25 level will receive a supporter listing on Kid N’ Play’s website.

Those who can support the project at a higher level, such as the $5,000 get everything that those who pledged at lower levels get as well as a personalized visit from Kid N Play.
