Hello Family, this is my first blog that I am posting so feel free to interject. It has been laid upon my heart about when we as Christians say we are going through a financial struggle. My wife and I were discussing this and we were thinking about our situation. We have been guilty about saying that and we really had to sit down and think. Are we really going through a financial struggle because of our needs? We have a roof over our heads. Food is in the refrigerator. We have plenty of clothes to wear. We have jobs and a business we run. We both have cars that work. So what is the problem? I think we as Christians let our wants overtake our view of what God has provided for us. We see preachers talking about prosperity and what we should have as children of God to show the world we can be prosperous and saved. Is that what we are supposed to be doing? We are not in competition with the world. The battle is already won. We need to point people to Christ no matter what. I used to hear people say we as Christians need to get the best of everything such as the rims on the cars, the nice expensive clothes, all the things the world does when it comes to materialism. Who really cares? I feel all that really shows is that our fleshly desires has blinded us. So when we can't achieve those material things we then say " We need a financial breakthrough" You should ask yourself what is your motive for getting those things. The bible says My God shall supply all your needs according to his riches and glory Phil. 4:19. So if you think about it your basic needs are met and you are not really broke. There is no need for a financial breakthrough . Just simply budget your money and invest in the Kingdom. Feel free to comment Be blessed.
