President Donald Trump addressed the annual Conservative Political Action Conference on Saturday afternoon at the Gaylord National Resort & Conference Center in National Harbor, Maryland.

CPAC was familiar territory for Trump, who has given speeches at the largest gathering of conservatives in the United States every year since becoming president.

During his speech that lasted well over an hour before a large passionate crowd, Trump touched on several different topics, among them the economy, foreign policy, and media bias.

Here are eight things that Trump spoke about during his remarks at CPAC, including the newly announced Taliban deal, economic progress, and criticisms of Democratic presidential candidates.

218 judges confirmed

Trump boasted of having had 218 judges that he appointed being confirmed, including U.S. Supreme Court Justices Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch.

“No administration has ever done what we’ve done in the first three years. Nobody. With tax cuts, Supreme Court judges, 218 judges. We’re up to 218, including D.C.,” said Trump.

“Together we’re defeating the radical socialist Democrats, the fake news media, the crooked politicians, and the hate-filled left-wing mob.”

Last year, Fox News described Trump as having a “transformative impact on the federal judiciary” due to the large number of appointees who have been confirmed at various levels of the Judicial Branch.

Romney a ‘low life’

Trump called Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, a “low life” due to his decision to vote in favor of the impeachment count accusing the president of abuse of power.

When talking about surviving the impeachment proceedings, Trump spoke about how all the Republicans stuck together “except Romney,” with the senator receiving loud boos.

Trump twice called Romney a “low-life,” but then noted that Romney voted against the obstruction of Congress impeachment count, saying “he couldn’t do it all.”.

Taking out terrorist leaders

Trump boasted about his greenlighting the attacks on terrorist leaders, among them Qasem Soleimani, the Iranian Quds Force commander responsible for numerous terrorist attacks worldwide, and Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, head of the Islamic State, which was known for its violent rule of territory in Syria and Iraq.

“They called [Soleimani] the father of the roadside bomb,” said Trump. “We took that son of a b**** out, didn’t we? Should have been done a long time ago.”

“And al-Baghdadi, he’s the father of ISIS and we have defeated ISIS in the Middle East. We have defeated 100 percent of the caliphate.”

Taliban peace deal signed

Trump announced that he had reached a deal with Taliban leaders, echoing comments made earlier at a news conference regarding ending the war in Afghanistan.

“Today, the United States signed a deal with the Taliban, so that we can hopefully begin the immediate process of finally bringing our troops back home,” said the president.

“I want to just thank our military because we’ve been really a police force there for the last long time. We’re not supposed to be a police force, we’re supposed to be fighting soldiers.”

This represents an apparent change of heart for Trump, who in 2012 took to Twitter to denounce then President Barack Obama’s effort to negotiate with the Taliban.

“While @BarackObama is slashing the military, he is also negotiating with our sworn enemy the Taliban–who facilitated 9/11,” tweeted Trump at the time.
