There are many forms of limitations we experience as human beings. Many times we may not realize that they are spiritual but they really are. The spiritual controls what happens in the physical. These limitations are usually forms of spiritual chains. You may notice that no matter how much effort you put in you have been unable to move from a level, or you may notice that no matter how much you try certain doors have not been open to you. These are limitations also known as spiritual chains. However, you are a child of God, called by God, loved by God and chosen by God, you are not meant to be limited. Why are you experiencing limitations in spite of this? Why does it seem as if you are held by invisible chains? How do you experience God's deliverance? These questions and more would be addressed in this video titled "God is breaking chains in your life | Nothing can hold you down when God is on your side".
God has a plan for your life and that plan is a good one to give you an expected end. You need to realize it is not God's desire for you to be limited or for you to experience limitation. His desire for you is that you are unlimited. It is not God that is limiting you! God will not keep you in chains! You need to realize this because the first step to deliverance is realizing what God's will for you is and comparing that with your life. Then enforcing God's will in your life through faith.
In this season of your life God is breaking every chain in your life. He is setting you free from every form of bondage. Spiritual chains take many forms physically. What do I mean by this? Many times different people may experience spiritual chains but in different ways. Jabez was an example of someone who experienced spiritual chains. He was more honorable than his brothers, yet he was suffering. The chain in his life was validated by his name, his name kept him in captivity and though he was more honorable than his brothers he could not rise above them. He prayed to God and God delivered him. Whatever chain you may have in your life God has the power to break them. A song by Tasha Cobb's says "There is power in the name of Jesus to break every chain". In Christ and in his name there is deliverance for all those who are bound. Jesus said in the book of Luke Chapter 4: 18 -19
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord. This was the purpose of Jesus which he fulfilled while he was on earth and even after he left the earth. One of the things he mentioned was to preach deliverance to the captives.
Jesus did this by paying the price for our deliverance on the cross of Calvary. He not only paid for our salvation but through his death and resurrection he also paid for our deliverance. The price for your deliverance has already been paid on the cross, it has been nailed to the cross. You may have the question; why then am I experiencing bondage when Jesus has paid the price for my freedom? This question would be answered later in the video.
How chains affect your life
• They limit you; chains have a limiting effect on people. In the physical, those who are chained or incarcerated can not move beyond a certain limit. They are restricted by their chains and can only stay in the jurisdiction such chains permit. Chains keep a person within a certain limit, it keeps them going in circles. It may be in any area of your life, it may be your academics, your finances, your relationships, your health or your career path. If you notice that for a period of time you have been going in circles, or that you have been struggling to leave a position to no avail, it may be that there are spiritual chains holding you back that need to be broken. You may realise that you gave so much potential and you are working endlessly but you have little output to show for it. It may be caused by the presence of spiritual chains.
