Daily Devotional: IF YOU SEE THIS SIGN | THAT'S GOD'S CONFIRMATION!

“Amplified Bible John 16:33 I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation, distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.]”

So many places in the Bible speak of peace, this means that if peace is important to us, it is of even more importance to God. But, this perfect peace the Bible speaks of seems only to be found in God. With God we have an everlasting peace, and joy that cannot be shaken, but in the world, as a sinner or an unbeliever there is no true peace. Anything can threaten the lasting peace of an unbeliever, but knowing God, and His promises, and what He is capable of (which is everything) can shake away every likelihood of fear, and discouragement.

The devil being a liar, and a thief comes to decieve us thereby stealing our peace, and ofcourse our joy. As we grow or mature, there are decisions we would be faced with making, and these decisions, if made wrongly could mess several things up in our lives for a long time. The Holy spirit helps us make these decisions, but there are times when the devil comes to speak with us first. He puts greed in the heart of man there by steering him away from the safety net of The Holy Spirit. In a place where God would usually not let you do a certain thing, you find your mind taking you to that exact thing, but because of the mercy of God, He makes you aware of His feelings toward that thing by advising you against it. Being double minded about a thing could be a sign that doing that thing might not be the right decision, so the wise thing to do would be to sit still, and analyze the reasons why you want to make that particular decision, and then ask yourself if God would be glorified through it. When you seek God concerning that issue, He would lead you to a verse or chapter in the bible to give you a proper break down of your answer, and then you will have peace.

“Amplified Bible Genesis 20:5-6 Did Abraham not tell me, ‘She is my sister?’ And she herself said, ‘He is my brother.’ In the integrity of my heart and innocence of my hands I have done this.” Then God said to him in the dream, “Yes, I know you did this in the integrity of your heart, for it was I who kept you back and spared you from sinning against Me; therefore I did not give you an opportunity to touch her.”
The King of Gerar, Abimelech, saw Sarah Abraham's wife, and took her for himself, as a wife, because Abraham, and Sarah had lied that they were brother, and sister. The King’s lust would have caused him to sin against God, but that night, he had no peace. In his dream , he was seriously warned by God concerning her, and because of God’s mercy he was able to keep his life.

There are certain people that come into your life, and can take away your peace. Being around them can be the worst time of your day. You can feel a struggle in your spirit concerning them but still you allow them into your life. One day you would not feel that struggle anymore because The Holy Spirit will not struggle with man forever:

“Amplified Bible Genesis 6:3 Then the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not strive and remain with man forever, because he is indeed flesh [sinful, corrupt—given over to sensual appetites]....”

This means that God, who is all Holy, and perfect can be done with a person. Even with all His patience, and love. When we allow Him to have His way we would always have peace but when we struggle with His leading to fulfill our selfish desires, He would at some point leave us be, and allow us make that mistake so we can see what He was trying to warn us about. Unfortunately, there are some mistakes that go on for years , and cannot be easily made right. Because of the need to avoid making such mistakes, it is most important to hear from God, and follow His ways in order to have peace.
The first step to true peace is by repentance; “Amplified Bible Isaiah 9:6 For to us a Child shall be born, to us a Son shall be given; And the government shall be upon His shoulder, And His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Jesus is The Prince of Peace. This means if you search for peace any other way, you are simply getting a counterfeited version. So in order to have the real deal we must seek Him first.
