Isn't it amazing that the things we call luck are always a sign of how God is working behind the scenes to make sure we don't experience bombs along the way? So we need to realize that God is not only with us, but he also goes ahead of us to prepare the way. Let us read from Deuteronomy chapter 31 verse 8
8And the Lord is the one who is going ahead of you; He will be with you. He will not desert you or abandon you. Do not fear and do not be dismayed.” (Deuteronomy 31:8)
Ephesians Chapter 2, Verse 10 lays the groundwork for this biblical truth,
10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.
This is why it is important to always pray God's prayers, so our request will be in line with his desires. If he has already prepared the way for us, it is important. We know what way he has prepared for us, so the good things we are called to do can be done successfully.
Abraham was a tremendous man of faith who honored God. Above all else, Abraham remains an excellent model for how a Christian should approach his or her purpose. Let us read from the book of Romans chapter 4 from verses 1 to 3.
What then shall we say that Abraham, [a]our forefather according to the flesh, has found? 2 For if Abraham was justified [b]by works, he has something to boast about; but not [c]before God. 3 For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.”
What we just read focused on Abraham. It highlights to us that this story, the story of the Christian journey, is about God and not Abraham. Since this is his story, God has already designed the way for all his children, whom he created and formed in his own image. God is working every day in each believer's life to bring his work to completion every experience every circumstance.
