Leave everything in God’s hands and eventually, you’ll see God’s hand in everything. I have seen this truth work itself out over the years I have been in existence. Indeed, God fights for his children and he does it in the most amazing and surprising way ever. Sometimes, he would create a wall around you that nothing and nobody would be able to pierce through, and at other times, he would fight the battles through you, and at some other times, he would ask you to wait and watch while he does the fighting. However, the summary is that nothing placed in the hands of God can be ruined, destroyed, or stolen because God would fight for it. You know, someone once told me that the reason why our salvation has so much weight and cannot be tampered with is because it’s in God’s hands. It took God himself to pay the ransom of our sins and as such, nothing is strong enough to refute God’s plans.
The Bible says in the book of Isaiah 42: 12; “The Lord shall go forth like a mighty man; He shall stir up His zeal like a man of war. He shall cry out, yes, shout aloud; He shall prevail against His enemies.”
When God says he will fight for you, he will. God is not a man that he should lie nor the son of man to change his mind. The fact that several years and centuries has passed does not change or limit the ability and potency of God’s word. His word is today just as strong as it was in time past. The first question then should be, do you know that God will fight for you? Let’s start on this note. If you are a parent listening to me and just in case you are not, imagine that you are, and probably your son’s teacher reports him that he stole a candy from his class mates bag an because of that he beat your child so much that he fainted. What would be your response? Would you thank the teacher for teaching your son good manners? Let me guess? You would be furious? Unhappy that your son stole but upset at the punishment meted out to him. In the same way, no matter how bad you might have behaved, in the past or at present, God would not hand over his children to the devil to be punished. I just felt it was important to state that. The devil is not a party to your contract with God and as such, has no business when it comes to your relationship with him. So why are you choosing to carry all the burden on your own?
The Bible in 2 Chronicles 32: 7 says
“Be strong and courageous; do not be afraid nor dismayed before the king of Assyria, nor before all the multitude that is with him; for there are more with us than with him. With him is an arm of flesh; but with us is the Lord our God, to help us and to fight our battles.”
However, why are believers usually afraid? Why are you scared? Do you forget that God is with you and he can fight all your battles? Fear is definitely not the portion of God’s child. The righteous is as bold as a lion because they know who their father is. Do you know who your father is? Who is your father? The king of Kings? The one who has been victorious from the foundations of the earth? The one who fought for our fore fathers and they held their peace? Do you now think he would stop fighting for you? Where is your courage? The courage like those of the three Hebrew boys: Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. These three boys were threatened by the king to be thrown into blazing fire unless they bowed to a golden statue. The three men said something interesting that you should see. Daniel 3: 16-17: …16
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego replied to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. 17 If the God whom we serve exists, then He is able to deliver us from the blazing fiery furnace and from your hand, O king.
Pay particular attention to the seventeenth verse. “If the God whom we serve exists, then he is able to deliver us” Such depths of confidence and trust. They knew that God was able to deliver them. If people who did not have the holy ghost indwelling them have a stronger sense of confidence in the ability of God to fight for and defend his children than people who have the seal of God’s faithfulness in them, then what really do we believe? What do you believe?
