Daily Devotional: Did You Know You Are a Trophy for God?

by Tonja Taylor

The Lord appeared from of old to me [Israel], saying, Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with loving-kindness have I drawn you and continued My faithfulness to you.--Jeremiah 31:3, AMPC

As women of God, we've often felt overwhelmed with all that is expected of us--including the fact that most people want us to greet them with a peaceful, joyful smile. We may feel as if we're beat-up underperformers, but the LORD sees us as beautiful trophies to His Glory!

But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us spreads and makes evident everywhere the sweet fragrance of the knowledge of Him.--2 Corinthians 2:14

So we are triumphant women--trophies--to the glory of God. He has rescued us from the enemy, and He continues to build us and polish us and make us gleaming Grace-instruments to His glory! Hallelujah!

Hallelujah!

As I've reminded myself many times, the LORD loves us far beyond our performance! We are His precious daughters. We serve Him because we love Him, not to earn or repay His love (which we could never do anyway!).

So, like I'm reminded myself even this moment, we rest in knowing that the LORD Jesus already won the war, and we rest and rejoice and receive His victory. We are His trophies, and He is ours!

Hallelujah!
