If you are going to be juicing do some research first. Certain combinations of fruits and vegetables when mixed together in a juice are phenomenal, which can be seen with the V8 companies’ success. On the other hand, certain combinations are so bad they will make you gag, so make sure to read up on what you are mixing.

Wheat-grass has many health benefits such as cleansing the lymph system, and removing toxic metals from your cells. You can only ingest wheat-grass through juice, so juicing can be extremely beneficial. Be careful because wheat-grass does have a very strong taste. It is best to start out a little at a time. Each time you juice, just gradually add a little more.

In regards to juicing, it is important to consider the fact that while this will provide many benefits to your health and overall well being, it is not the only solution. This is critical because if you are not taking care of your body in other ways, you may diminish or eliminate the effects you are receiving from consuming your home made juices.

A good tip to help maintain your juicer is to remove the pits from various fruits. Apple pits can ruin your juice if you forget to remove them. Other fruits such as plums and peaches have pits that should be removed as well in order to protect the juicer.

Stick with fruits that have higher water contents. Fruits that have low-water content are much harder to juice; they clog up your juicer and require many more pieces of fruit to make even a small serving of juice. If you insist on using fruits such as avocados or bananas, make sure to blend them first in a blender, and then add them to your juicer with other fruits with a higher water content.

When tying to develop a juice that tastes great and has the health benefits you are looking for, consider the sugar content of the vegetables you are using. Vegetables that grow underneath the ground are higher in sugar than those that grow above ground. This is a good fact to remember when trying to adjust the sweetness of vegetable juices.
