Daily Devotional: When God Blesses You | Keep Your Mouth Shut!

When God Blesses You | Keep Your Mouth Shut!

In today’s devotional we will be talking about something really important. It can be a reason why many people aren’t doing well or why many are stuck in a place. Most times some of us wonder, how come my blessing never comes? How come my plans fail, I had a great idea but it just fizzled out now someone else is doing it and it seems like a terrific idea what happened to me? It’s amazing sometimes that the little things we do are responsible for the major failure we get in life. So in today’s devotional, we will talk on the topic “When God blesses you | keep your mouth shut (not everyone wants you to be blessed).” Please like this page, share this video with everyone, you might not know who needs it and subscribe to this channel by clicking the subscribe button below.

• Have you ever wondered why God made at least the first 3 months of a woman’s pregnancy hidden? I’m not saying it has anything to do with our topic but have you ever considered it? Maybe because it’s the most sensitive time of the baby forming? And because a woman can easily lose her baby during this time? Have you ever had this thought?

• I know sometimes you’re excited about this big thing you’re about to do and this big thing that you’re expecting but have you ever paused to think maybe the people you’re telling aren’t as excited for you? Have ever thought maybe this person also wanted this, and didn’t get it but you did? You have to be careful. Its naivety to think everyone cares about your progress and just loves for you to succeed. Life doesn’t work that way. The Bible says in Jeremiah 17:9 “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” Who knows the answer to this question? Certainly not you because we don’t have the ability to read minds. You can never truly know someone’s intent towards you. That ability fully belongs to God. So what do we do since we can’t know who really has our back? Simple, get wisdom. To live successfully on this earth and to fully enjoy God’s blessing, we need something called wisdom. Even the scriptures say in Proverbs 4 vs 7 “Getting wisdom is the wisest thing you can do! And whatever else you do, develop good judgement.” Wisdom is knowing what to say and when to say it. It is also knowing who to say it to and how to say it. The more we seek wisdom in everything we are doing, the better for us.

• Let’s get a little story from Elisabeth and Zacharias, the parents of John the Baptist. This woman and her husband were very faithful to God and they served God well but they had no child. This really didn’t stop them, they kept serving God till they were really old. And then, Angel Gabriel came to Zacharias and told him he was going to have a son, Zacharias didn’t believe so the angel made him dumb. You see this is really significant. The angel made sure he didn’t speak because he might go and communicate his fears to other naysayers. And together, they will ruin what God wanted to do. When Elisabeth conceived, according to prophecy, she rejoiced and thanked God but she did something almost as important, she went to hide. Why? Every great thing hides before its manifestation. Maybe if she didn’t hide for 5 months, she would have been discouraged. Maybe they would have told her “you’re too old to carry this baby.” And that is how she would have lost her joy.

• As Christians, it’s important to know the way God blesses. If we don’t know this, we might say our blessings to others unknowingly. And we will lose it. Some of us say “oh if I hit the lottery and I make a million dollars, no one will know so I don’t get attacked. I know not everyone means well.” Nothing wrong with this thought but really, this isn’t the basic problem. Please remember to like this video, share it and subscribe to this channel. Your first problem will be; Who did you tell that you’re trying out the lottery and you’re hoping to hit a million? This is really important. Who did you speak to? What did they say? We honestly cannot know without God’s help who truly loves us and who doesn’t. You cannot know who has bad intentions for you.

• God might not tell you to try the lottery because He cherishes hard work. Here’s how God works to bless you. He gives you a seed. God usually doesn’t bless the way people think. God will most likely not drop money in your bank account or bring a job your way. Yes, miracles happen but even at that, you must have cooperated with God to bless you.
