Hello, brothers in Christ! Welcome to another edition of Motivation Monday, where we share some words of encouragement and wisdom from the Bible to start our week on the right foot. Today, I want to talk to you about the power of gratitude.

Gratitude is more than just saying thank you. It is a mindset, a lifestyle, a way of seeing the world. Gratitude is acknowledging that everything we have and everything we are comes from God, and that He is good and faithful in all circumstances. Gratitude is also recognizing that we are not alone, that we have a community of fellow believers who support us, pray for us, and love us as brothers.

The Bible tells us to "give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus" (1 Thessalonians 5:18). This means that we should not only thank God when things are going well, but also when we face challenges, trials, and hardships. Why? Because God is working in all things for our good and His glory (Romans 8:28). Because God is with us and will never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). Because God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

When we practice gratitude, we experience many benefits. We become more joyful, more peaceful, more content, more generous, more humble, more compassionate, and more hopeful. We also become more resilient, more courageous, more faithful, and more obedient. We grow closer to God and to each other. We shine as lights in the world and glorify our Father in heaven.

So how can we cultivate gratitude in our lives? Here are some practical tips:

- Start your day with prayer and praise. Thank God for a new day, for His grace and mercy, for His love and salvation. Praise Him for who He is and what He has done.

- Keep a gratitude journal. Write down at least three things you are thankful for every day. They can be big or small, simple or profound. Review your journal regularly and see how God has blessed you.

- Express your gratitude to others. Tell your family, friends, co-workers, church members, and even strangers how much you appreciate them. Send a note, a text, a call, or a gift. Say thank you often and sincerely.

- Share your gratitude with God. At the end of the day, reflect on how God has been present and active in your life. Thank Him for His guidance, protection, provision, and correction. Ask Him to help you grow in gratitude.

Brothers, let us be grateful men. Let us live with an attitude of gratitude. Let us remember that "every good and perfect gift is from above" (James 1:17). And let us give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever (Psalm 136:1).

God bless you all. Have a great week!

Nashville, TN – “If you want to go quickly, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” This sentiment encapsulates the essence of the synergy and collaboration involving Prafit Josiah, Eshon Burgundy and Tuu B.; which is poised to shatter Christian Hip-hop expectations. Their audacious blend of soulful R&B, bass-heavy Afro Beats flavor and hip-hop rhythms on their latest release, “Reap What You Sow,” promises to redefine genre boundaries and compel listeners to hit that replay button immediately.

When asked how this song came about, Prafit Josiah says, “I was eager to craft another track with my guy Tuu B., who is exceptional as a songwriter and vocalist. Furthermore, Eshon’s voice seemed to be a perfect fit for this song, so I had to reach out to them both, I was excited when they both agreed to join me on track”.

In all honesty, it’s nearly impossible to dispute the mastery of Eshon’s lyrical flow as showcased on this record. Equally, it’s pivotal to emphasize that each contributor to this track brings an abundance of songwriting proficiency, with no less than two decades under their belts. That special seasoning that only comes with experience, infuses the music with a distinctive resonance that you can absolutely feel in your core.

Do not sleep on “Reap What You Sow”, which is set to drop December 8, 2023. You can pre-order and download the song for FREE right now, here. – https://PrafitJosiah.com/reap-what-you-sow

Hailing from the upstate, New York city of Rochester, is the relentless force known as Prafit Josiah. This gifted wordsmith is on a mission. He wants to reach the world bridging the divide between the timeless essence of Boom-Bap-infused Hip-hop and the unwavering tenets of Christian ideology embedded within his lyrics.

Unveiling his artistic prowess in the early 90s, Josiah made his inaugural mark as an integral member of rap group known as PRAFITZ (Prophets). This dynamic collective, graced the world with two compelling albums before their paths diverged in 2002, forever etching an unforgettable legacy into the rich fabric of Christian Hip-hop history.

For the past three decades Prafit Josiah has been honing his craft. However, in the year 2016 his cousin fell victim to an unspeakable act of violence, he was murdered. Yet, from the ashes of this heart-wrenching event, a remarkable transformation took place, breathing new life into Prafit Josiah’s music.

Fueled by an unwavering determination to leave a Godly impact on both his immediate community and the vast audience that could embrace his musical offerings, Josiah once again grasped the microphone, rekindling his divine purpose.

“Hip-hop (Christian or not) is no longer just a young mans sport, I’m here to speak on adult things, talk about life and point people to God. Oh yeah, don’t expect me to conform or try to fit in, I’m doin me.”

– Prafit Josiah

What treasures await those who delve into the world of Prafit Josiah? Brace yourself for unfiltered lyricism that unveils the raw truths of existence. Be prepared to be immersed in captivating beats that pulsate with a vibe that is passionate and emotional. New Music : J. Johnson -

Zapped is a song of warning about the return of King Jesus. With a colorful way of describing the judgement to come. Almost cartoonish even though we know it will not be something to televise! This song confronts our proclivity to love this world, while at the same time denying the Creator of it. Shows us the godly don’t fit in because of the churches calling and connection to eternity and The Eternal One.

The Love of The Husband for His bride is evident by her devotion to Him and what she’s been called to. And reminds us that repentance is the gift. The treasures of this world cannot compare to The Pearl that is The King and His Kingdom life.

New Music : Joshua Penn - "Endure"

To endure is to maintain, press/carry on, and persevere through hardships. “Endure" is a song to encourage believers in the faith to persevere and endure through all of life's circumstances. The way and means of accomplishing this, is by trusting and walking in the word of God and through prayer. In the book of Isaiah 40:8, it states, "The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever." So our hope, confidence, and reliance is not based on things that will ultimately fade away, rather what will last forever.

With warm undertones and hard hitting drums, "Endure" serves as the second single from Penn which officially releases on 11/10/2023.

Hello, beautiful ladies! Welcome to another #Womenwednesday devotional. I'm so excited to share with you some powerful words of affirmation that you can speak over your life today. Words have power, and we can use them to bless ourselves and others. Proverbs 18:21 says, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits." So let's choose to speak life and not death, blessing and not cursing, faith and not fear.

Here are some blessings that you can declare over yourself today. You can say them out loud, write them down, or repeat them in your mind. The important thing is to believe them and receive them in your heart.

🟣 I am a beloved daughter of God. He loves me unconditionally and has a good plan for my life. (Jeremiah 31:3, Jeremiah 29:11)

🟣 I am fearfully and wonderfully made. God created me in His image and likeness, and He delights in me. I am beautiful, unique, and valuable. (Psalm 139:14, Genesis 1:27, Zephaniah 3:17)

🟣 I am blessed with every spiritual blessing in Christ. I have access to all the riches of His grace, wisdom, peace, joy, and power. Nothing can separate me from His love or His presence. (Ephesians 1:3, Romans 8:37-39)

🟣 I am a woman of faith. I trust God with all my heart and lean not on my own understanding. He directs my steps and makes my paths straight. He is faithful to fulfill His promises and His word never fails. (Hebrews 11:1, Proverbs 3:5-6, Numbers 23:19)

🟣 I am a woman of purpose. God has given me gifts, talents, and passions that I can use to glorify Him and serve others. He has prepared good works for me to do in advance, and He equips me with everything I need to accomplish them. (Ephesians 2:10, 2 Timothy 1:6-7, Philippians 4:13)

These are just some examples of the blessings that you can speak over your life today. You can also find more in the Bible, or create your own based on God's truth. The more you speak them, the more you will believe them and see them manifest in your life.

I hope this devotional has encouraged you and inspired you to speak blessings over your life. Remember that you are loved, you are beautiful, you are powerful, and you are a woman of God. Have a wonderful #Womenwednesday!

Do you ever wonder if God is really working in your life? Do you sometimes feel like you are just going through the motions, without seeing any evidence of His presence or power? If so, you are not alone. Many Christians struggle with doubts and fears about their faith, especially when they face challenges or hardships.

But the truth is, God is always at work in your life, even when you can't see it. He is constantly shaping you, guiding you, and blessing you in ways that you may not notice or understand. He is not a distant or passive God, but a loving and active Father who cares for you and wants the best for you.

Here are some clear signs that God's hand is working in your life, and how you can respond to them with gratitude and trust.

  1. You experience peace and joy in the midst of trials. One of the most obvious signs that God is working in your life is when you have a sense of peace and joy that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). This does not mean that you are happy or cheerful all the time, or that you don't feel any pain or sorrow. It means that you have a deep assurance that God is with you, that He loves you, and that He will work all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). You can rejoice in the Lord always, knowing that He is your strength and your refuge (Psalm 28:7).

  1. You see answered prayers and divine appointments. Another sign that God is working in your life is when you see Him answer your prayers and orchestrate events in your favor. Sometimes, these may be big and miraculous things, like healing, provision, or protection. Other times, they may be small and subtle things, like a word of encouragement, a timely opportunity, or a meaningful connection. Either way, these are evidences of God's grace and sovereignty in your life. You can thank Him for every good and perfect gift that comes from above (James 1:17).

  1. You grow in faith and character. A third sign that God is working in your life is when you see Him transform you from the inside out. As you spend time with Him in His word and prayer, He renews your mind and changes your heart (Romans 12:2). He helps you overcome sin and temptation, and produces His fruit in you: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). He also equips you with spiritual gifts and abilities to serve Him and others (1 Corinthians 12:4-11). You can praise Him for the work He has begun in you, and trust Him to complete it until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6).

Happy #Motivationmonday, brothers! Today I want to share with you a word of encouragement from the Lord. He says in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." What a wonderful promise from our God who loves us and cares for us!

No matter what challenges you are facing today, whether it's at work, at home, or in your community, remember that God has a plan for your life. He wants you to succeed and to fulfill your purpose. He is with you every step of the way, guiding you and strengthening you. He is your source of joy and peace.

So don't let the enemy discourage you or make you feel like you are not good enough. You are a child of God, created in His image and likeness. You are a leader, a warrior, and a winner. You have the power of the Holy Spirit in you, and nothing can stop you from achieving your goals.

I pray that this devotion will inspire you to trust God and to pursue your dreams with passion and confidence. He has great things in store for you, my brother. Stay blessed and stay motivated!

Welcome to another exciting episode of Church on the Block where delve into the inspiring journey of Christian athlete Britney Jones, a professional basketball player and international champion.

A Champion on and off the Court

Britney Jones, a renowned basketball player from Lawndale, Chicago, has an impressive resume. With seven championships and multiple MVP titles under her belt, she is a force to be reckoned with on the court. But what makes her story truly inspiring is her journey of faith and the impact it has had on her life.

A Journey of Faith

Britney’s journey to faith wasn’t a straightforward one. She grew up attending church with her family in Chicago, but it wasn’t until her junior year of college that she developed a personal relationship with God. A pivotal moment came when a teammate invited her to a baptism service. The joy and transformation she witnessed there deeply moved her, sparking a change in her life.

Transitioning from her old ways to living for God was not easy, but the support she received from her family and the joy she found in her faith made the journey worthwhile. Britney’s faith began to show in her interactions with her basketball team, as she played worship music in the locker room and shared scriptures with her teammates.

The Power of Faith in Sports

Britney’s faith didn’t just change her personal life; it also had a profound impact on her professional career. After college, she faced the challenge of not immediately finding a job. However, her faith kept her going, and she eventually got signed by an agent. This led to her first gig in Puerto Rico, and from there, she went on to play in Greece and other European countries.

Throughout her 13-year career, Britney’s faith was tested time and again. But each time, she emerged stronger, proving that with God, all things are possible. She even had an undefeated season in Romania, where she won both the cup and the championship.

Faith and Fame

Being a well-known athlete comes with its share of popularity and fame. But Britney handles it with grace and humility, attributing all her accomplishments to God. She sees herself as a vessel for God’s anointing and gives Him all the credit for her success.

A Vision for Christian Athletes

Britney’s vision extends beyond her personal success. She feels a calling to start a movement for Christian athletes in the league where she plays. She plans to release two devotionals for Christian athletes and distribute them to young athletes in colleges and high schools. Her goal is to inspire and strengthen these young athletes in their faith.

Britney also has plans to bring worship and Bible study to Europe, where she currently plays basketball. She hopes to create a more engaging and impactful worship experience for her teammates and other athletes.

A Call to Action

Britney’s story is a testament to the power of faith and the impact it can have on our lives. As we concluded our conversation, I encouraged her to consider writing her own memoirs to document her journey and inspire others.

Britney’s story is a reminder for all of us to surrender our hearts to Christ for a fulfilled life. Whether you’re an athlete, a pastor, or a listener, let’s take a leaf out of Brittany’s book and let our faith guide us in all that we do.

#Womenwednesday Christian Devotion for African American women

Hello, sisters in Christ! Welcome to another #Womenwednesday, where I share our stories, insights, and prayers for African American women who love the Lord. Today, I want to talk to you about the power of gratitude.

Gratitude is not just a feeling, but a choice. It is a way of living that honors God and blesses others. When you choose to be grateful, you acknowledge that everything we have comes from God, and that He is working all things together for you good (Romans 8:28). You also recognize that you are not alone, but part of a community of faith that supports and encourages.

Gratitude can transform your perspective, your attitude, and your actions. It can help you overcome challenges, cope with stress, and celebrate joys. It can also inspire you to be generous, compassionate, and faithful.

Here are some practical ways to cultivate gratitude in your daily life:

- Start your day with a prayer of thanksgiving. Thank God for waking you up, for giving you breath, for providing for your needs, and for loving you unconditionally.

- Keep a gratitude journal. Write down at least three things you are grateful for every day. They can be big or small, simple or profound. Review your journal regularly and reflect on how God has been good to you.

- Express your gratitude to others. Tell your family, friends, co-workers, and church members how much you appreciate them. Send a note, a text, a call, or a hug. Let them know how they have made a difference in your life.

- Share your gratitude with God. Praise Him for who He is and what He has done. Sing a song, read a psalm, or recite a verse. Thank Him for His grace, His mercy, His power, and His presence.

Gratitude is not only good for us, but it also pleases God. The Bible says that "giving thanks is a sacrifice that truly honors me" (Psalm 50:23 NLT). When we give thanks, we glorify God and acknowledge His sovereignty over our lives.

SoI encourage you to be grateful women of God, who live with joy and peace in every situation.  Be #Womenwednesday warriors who spread the gospel of grace and love with your words and deeds. And be daughters of the King who honor Him with your whole hearts.

God bless you all!

Hello, my dear friends! I hope you are having a blessed and beautiful day. I'm here to share with you some words of encouragement and inspiration that I received from God this morning.

You see, sometimes we get so caught up in our own plans and expectations that we forget to trust in God's perfect timing and wisdom. We try to figure out everything on our own, and we get frustrated and anxious when things don't go our way. We start to doubt ourselves and our purpose, and we lose sight of the bigger picture.

But God is saying to us today: "Your time is coming - stop trying to figure it out!" He is telling us to relax and let go of our worries and fears. He is asking us to surrender our lives to Him and to follow His lead. He is reminding us that He has a wonderful plan for each one of us, and that He will make everything work out for our good in His time.

So, my friends, don't give up on your dreams and goals. Don't let the challenges and obstacles discourage you. Don't let the negative voices in your head or around you bring you down. Instead, keep your faith and hope alive. Keep praying and praising God for His goodness and grace. Keep doing your best and working hard with excellence. Keep trusting and waiting on God's timing and direction.

Your time is coming, my friends. God is working behind the scenes on your behalf. He is preparing you for your breakthrough and blessing. He is aligning everything in your favor. He is opening doors that no one can shut. He is making a way where there seems to be no way.

Your time is coming, my friends. God is saying it loud and clear. Stop trying to figure it out, and start living in His peace and joy. You are loved, you are valued, you are chosen by God. You have a destiny and a future that He has designed for you. You have a reason to smile and celebrate today.

Your time is coming, my friends. Believe it, receive it, declare it, and thank God for it. Amen!

Hello, brothers in Christ! Welcome to another #motivationMonday, where we share some insights and tips on how to live out our faith in our daily lives. Today, I want to talk to you about how to start your week with God's strength.

We all know that Mondays can be tough. We have to face the challenges and pressures of work, school, family, and other responsibilities. We may feel tired, stressed, or overwhelmed. We may wonder how we can handle everything that comes our way.

But we don't have to face Mondays alone. We have a powerful ally who is always with us, who loves us, and who wants to help us. His name is Yahsua (Jesus). He is the source of our strength, our joy, and our peace. He is the one who can give us the motivation and the courage to face any situation.

So how can we start our week with God's strength? Here are three simple steps that you can do every Monday morning:

  1. Pray. Before you do anything else, spend some time talking to God. Thank Him for the gift of a new day and a new week. Ask Him to guide you, protect you, and bless you. Tell Him your needs, your worries, and your hopes. Invite Him to be with you throughout the day and the week. Listen to His voice and His promises.

  1. Read. Open your Bible and read a passage that inspires you or challenges you. You can follow a reading plan, or just pick a verse that speaks to your heart. Meditate on what God is saying to you through His word. Apply it to your life and your situation. Memorize it and repeat it throughout the day.

  1. Share. Don't keep God's strength to yourself. Share it with others who may need it. Encourage a friend, a coworker, or a family member with a word of hope or a prayer. Be a witness of God's love and power in your words and actions. Let others see that you have something different, something better, something that comes from God.

These are three simple steps that can make a big difference in your week. By praying, reading, and sharing, you are connecting with God and receiving His strength. You are not relying on your own abilities, but on His grace. You are not facing the week alone, but with Him by your side.

So don't let Mondays get you down. Start your week with God's strength and see what He can do in you and through you. He has great plans for you and He will help you accomplish them.

Have a blessed week!

Perry, along with other prominent figures such as Sean “Diddy” Combs and Byron Allen, had shown interest in acquiring a stake in the unit, which includes the BET channel, BET+, VH1, and BET Studios.

Billionaire media mogul Tyler Perry didn’t mince words about his frustration with how executives at Paramount Global carried out the bidding process for the sale of its BET business.

In a candid expression of disappointment, Tyler Perry has voiced his discontent with the lack of transparency with the deal. Perry, along with other prominent figures such as Sean “Diddy” Combs and Byron Allen, had shown interest in acquiring a stake in the unit, which includes the BET channel, BET+, VH1, and BET Studios.

BET Sale Drama

In August, the studio conglomerate led by Bob Bakish took down its “for sale” sign on the unit.

“We made this decision because the benefits of maintaining a majority stake in BET Media Group creates more value for Paramount than any of the proposals we received,” a source close to Paramount told The New York Post Summer 2023.

Though Perry didn’t share many details on what transpired, he added, “Don’t try to get me to pay for something that’s not worth anywhere near the value.” Paramount claimed it was.

Bids that were put on the table ranged from $2 billion to around $3 billion, including Perry’s which was reportedly supported by Ariel Alternatives, as Finurah previously reported.

The Aftermath

Perry recently said he was not happy with the whole process.

During the Oct. 18 “Bloomberg Equality: An Evening with Tyler Perry” at The Gathering Spot in metropolitan Atlanta, he said, “I was disappointed about it for a number of reasons. The way it happened was disrespectful in a lot of ways,” Perry said, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

You know exercise is good for your physical health, but did you know it’s also good for your brain? The latest neurological research has shown that there is a so-called ‘magic protein’ called Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF) that has the power to supercharge your brain and improve your memory. And it is stimulated by cardiovascular exercise!

BDNF can rewire and build new neural pathways in the brain, especially in the crucial areas that control memory (the hippocampus) and analysis, thinking, and decision-making (the frontal lobes). Your frontal lobes are where most of the intellectual activity of the brain takes place, from processing the data that’s coming in all the time to problem-solving and making ethical decisions.  And you can keep these critical parts of your brain bathed in BDNF by merely increasing the amount of exercise in your daily routine.

If you find it hard to commit to regular exercise, here are three ways you can make it easier and supercharge your brain at the same time.

  • Make it Fun

The key to maintaining an exercise regime is to choose an activity or activities that you enjoy. Not everyone likes going to the gym, but there are many other ways to increase your heart rate and get the BDNF pumping.

Dancing, swimming, hiking out in nature, and bike riding will all get your heart rate up, and you’ll enjoy doing it. Even brisk walking will help. As a bonus, exercise will boost your endorphins, too, making you happier and more relaxed.

  • Schedule Your Exercise

It’s easier to stick to a regular exercise plan if you schedule time in your diary. Set aside time and increase your sessions until you’re exercising for thirty minutes, four or five times a week. Like any other habit, once you make it a priority, it will become just another part of your regular routine like brushing your teeth.

  • Make it Musical

Research has shown that music can increase motivation and happiness. Exercise will be much more fun if you’re bopping away to your favorite tunes. Even housework can become a brain-boosting dance routine when you’re vacuuming along to music that makes you smile. Turn up the volume and start cleaning to the beat!

Create a playlist of your favorite songs, and you will find that exercise is pleasurable and much easier to stick to when there’s upbeat music to encourage you!
