Hebrews 5:12-14 (NKJV)
"For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food. For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil."

Spiritual growth is a continuous growing process throughout our Christianity and depends on studying God's word, the application of God' word and our walk in the spirit. Spiritual growth begins at the moment when the transformation of our salvation took place. Salvation is a one-time experience, but spiritual growth is continuous. When we are born again we are spiritually immature and need to go through a growing process to develop a strong foundation in Christ.
We can always ask God to increase our faith and knowledge in Him. Spiritual growth is a process so we become more mature in our relationship with Jesus Christ.

Spiritual growth is the process of becoming more and more like Jesus. Spiritual growth has been described in second Peter 1: 3-8 which tells us that by Power we have everything we need to live a life of godliness. Which is the goal of our spiritual growth. Spiritual growth is identified by the fruits of the spirit being made more evident in our lives. We should pray to God and ask for wisdom concerning the areas he desires us to grow in.

We must die to our old self and we must forget the things of the past to continue to grow even though we may struggle with trials and tribulations. When you accepted Christ as your personal savior the Holy Spirit came into your life and sealed you forever as a child of God. God wants to use and bless you to your maximum potential, but you must be willing to step out and trust God in faith.

With Salvation we become a new creation in Christ. The old sinful nature began to give way to the new, Christ like nature. God desires us to grow spiritually and He equips us with all we need to experience spiritual growth. With the help of the Holy Spirit we can overcome sin and become more like Jesus. We can ask God to increase our faith and knowledge in Him. When we place our faith in Christ, the Holy Spirit begins the process of making us more like Him and begins conforming us to his image.

Someone who is growing spiritually will become more like Christ. The spiritually mature will be able to distinguish good from evil. Sadly, not all Christians grow spiritually many have been Christians for years with little change. There are no more, often less useful to the Lord as when they first became Christians. Failing to grow, they become stagnant like a pool of water.

Because spiritual growth is a choice. Spiritual growth occurs only when we choose to grow if we do not make that choice and stick to it there will be no spiritual growth.

Spiritual growth is a process that begins with the act of faith and is by faith we must study God's word, we must pray, and we must fellowship with other Christians. Most important, we must keep our fellowship with Christ, which will help us to reach out to others.

We must obey God, for it is the core of our spiritual growth, Spiritual growth is not an option, reserved for a few select Christians. The word of God commands us to grow. We should also remember that growth is a choice. Spiritual growth in some respect is a slow process, your spiritual growth will not be automatic. It takes time, work, effort, and patience. Spiritual growth occurs in the realms of obedience and trust.

A difficult thing for Christians is to simply say," this matter is in God's hands "because our human nature like to retain control. We want grip on difficult situations. Spiritual growth is something we need to work on every single day we need to learn to put Christ first in situations of our lives. Obedience, perseverance, faith, submission, patience, Bible study, walk in the spirit, read the Bible daily, fellowship and prayer are a must for our Spiritual growth.

To grow spiritually we need to 1. Read the bible daily 2. Pray daily 3. Always be in continuous confession of our sins 4. We must have steady fellowship with Christ and family 5. We must attend a good Christian church.

Revelation 2:9-10 (NKJV)
"I know your works, tribulation, and poverty (but you are rich); and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.
