Dallas Pastor Ed Young sits down with some of the most notable names in the NFL – including Tony Romo, Troy Aikman, and Ryan Tannehill – to discuss faith, football, and life.
What happens when a pastor teams up with an NFL champion, a warrior, and a rising star?
Ed Young, founding and senior pastor of Fellowship Church, is speaking one-on-one with some of the biggest names from the NFL – including Tony Romo, Troy Aikman, and Ryan Tannehill – in a brand new teaching series at the church called “Quarterback”.
Pastor Young, known for his unconventional and unique teaching techniques, says, “Football is essentially a religion in our country, especially in Texas. We want to show people that the most notable men who play this game are also men of character and strength who can show us what it takes to get the most out of every day. But this isn’t your typical interview; I’m going to be talking with these guys like you’ve never heard before. I’m going to fire questions that them that they aren’t necessarily ready for!”
The new series kicks off this weekend (September 12/13) at all ten Fellowship Church locations in North Texas; Miami, Florida; and London, England. In addition to welcoming some of the most well-known quarterbacks from the NFL, the church will have activities for the entire family.
Young says, “Fellowship Church is a church for everyone. We have programs and activities for every age and stage of life. Our goal is to simply communicate God’s truth in ways people can relate to. And there’s nothing more relatable, especially during this time of the year, than football. We’re excited to welcome these legends and to see how faith plays a role in all we do!”
