Dell has done a very limited promotional campaign in regards to its Dell Venue phone and it will be interesting to see what the sales of this Android phone will be like. The phone officially went on sale yesterday through Dell and as a quick refresher, this phone came with a 4.1-inch WVGA AMOLED capacitive multitouch display that supports a resolution of 800×480 pixels.

Some of the features of the Dell phone include an 8MP integrated camera on the back surface as well as a trio of navigational buttons instead of the usual four which are positioned on the bottom edge of the device. The phone also comes with the Google Android operating system, version 2.2 or FroYo, but a Honeycomb upgrade is a strong possibility. The phone has a 1GHz QSD 8250 CPU, up to 32GB of data storage through micro SD, 3.5mm headphone jack and a 1400 mAh battery. Total weight of this mobile phone is 164 grams and the Dell Venue supports connectivity through WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 EDR, A2DP, AVCRP, Sync to PC and USB.

The phone will retail for $499.99 with shipments to begin on February 18, 2011 and the best part about the Dell Venue is that it is an unlocked phone, meaning that it will function on the network of your preferred mobile carrier.
