After rumors of the Sidekick kicking the dust T-Mobile brought back the messaging experience but it’s got Android 2.2 (Froyo) under the hood so you know the capabilities are now injected with steroids! Speaking of messaging, the T-Mobile Sidekick 4G, will have group texting and cloud texting; to messaging friends or groups from a computer. The phone has social networking built in, packs video calling, plus theoretically 4G capable on T-Mobile’s HSPA+ network. The hardware includes classic 5-row QWERTY keyboard with four external buttons and has signature slide-out touch enabled screen. T-Mobile will sell the Sidekick 4G for $99.99, after a $50 mail-in rebate with the purchase of a two-year contract with unlimited data. The same two-year contract with a smaller data plan will cost you $149.99 for the Sidekick 4G.
