The Oklahoma City Thunder are acquiring Carmelo Anthony in a trade with the New York Knicks, according to reports.
Both ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and The Vertical’s Shams Charania reported Saturday that the Thunder and Knicks were nearing a deal that would send the forward to OKC. Woj later reported that the deal is complete, with a trade call coming on Monday.
They both say the trade includes center Enes Kanter, outside shooter Doug McDermott, and a draft pick. Charania says the pick is a 2018 second-round selection OKC has via Chicago..
The Thunder are adding Anthony to a core that includes MVP Russell Westbrook and All-Star Paul George.
