Rawsrvnt just wants to "Get Away"
WEST PALM BEACH, FL – We've all been there. Whether it's a difficult work situation, a challenging child, or a particularly rough patch in a relationship – at times, life's struggles can seem to suffocate and we just want to jump on a plane and escape it all.
That's the unvarnished emotion captured in Eddy "Rawsrvnt" Puyol's latest single titled "Get Away."

The producers who helped create the 18 track album are Wit, KP, 42 North, Tone Jonez and Soundnami. Selah created a documentary to highlight the process of making the album and to give insight into his name and mission. In saying "I am the Corner," he emphasized that he would be "that thing that redirects you assertively towards God." That statement is for anyone regardless of his or her profession.
Russell Westbrook’s second signature sneaker with Jordan Brand is finally here. Inspired by the Oklahoma City Thunder’s All-Star point guard’s unorthodox game, the Air Jordan Why Not Zer0.2 may seem chaotic at a glance, but each design element comes with a special meaning.
Starting next week, the performance model is officially releasing, and here are some of the newest features the kicks have to offer.
How is this possible?
I don’t blame you for a second if you think this photo of Zion Williamson is fake.
In a recent episode of ABC’s dating show, The Bachelorette, Rachel Lindsay, the first black female to participate, broke down in tears. “The pressures that I feel about being a black woman and what that is... I don’t want to talk about it,” she said. The show exposes the fraught dynamics of race, dating, and marriage for black women in America. “Even before the female-led spinoff of The Bachelor ... in my mind ‘bachelorettes’ were white women who were brides-to-be or bridesmaids in their best friends’ weddings, throwing parties to celebrate the end of their spinsterhood,” writes Robin Boylorn for Slate. By contrast, “black women were just single and waiting.”
1. Jackie Hill Perry - Crescendo
Crescendo is centered on Perry's sense of brokenness entrusted to God's care amidst a rich tapestry of sounds, beats and words, the constant thread running through the growth-aligning the album.
The Gospel Coalition shared an in depth conversation with Perry surrounding Crescendo, where they marked the LP as a "a rich collection of hip hop songs exploring exploring a wide range of topics (race, gender, social media, church) through the lens of glorifying God and growing in faith."
Critics are praising Perry's long-awaited return with The Christian Beat calling each track on Crescendo "saturated with honesty and sincerity...whether it's filled with bold fire or transparent reflection." New Release Today raved "I cannot remember the last time that a rapper spit such a strong verse" and CCM Magazine, who gave the album five out of five stars in their review, described Perry as "intent on elevating expectations to another level entirely with her stunning sophomore album, Crescendo... likely to stand as the best hip-hop release of the year."
