"Black Panther" scored one of the best second weekends ever with an estimated $108 million in US ticket sales, and $83.8 million internationally, putting it on track to rank among the highest-grossing blockbusters ever.
Ryan Coogler's Marvel sensation is on a box-office course that few films have managed, according to studio estimates Sunday.
It is only the fourth film to earn $100 million in its second weekend, along with "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" ($149.2 million), "Jurassic World" ($106.6 million) and "The Avengers" ($103.1 million).
When it comes to the Stormy Daniels story, it is hard for me to understand the silence from evangelical Christians.
Let it sink in: It is now confirmed that the president’s personal lawyer paid a porn star for her silence.
After the story broke, a friend sent me an old article from a left-wing website.
Democrats, the story said, beat themselves up for not better understanding white, Christian support for President Trump.
But that is a fool’s errand, the writer argued, because there is no understanding people who don’t accept facts.
The facts on the porn star and Trump became clear last week when Michael D. Cohen, the president’s lawyer, said he personally paid $130,000 to Daniels.
The money changed hands just before the 2016 election to allegedly stop her from talking about a sexual affair with candidate Trump that took place in 2006, just after Trump’s wife had a baby.
There is no longer any way to deny the fact of the payment and the nature of the tawdry story.
Also, there is no way to deny a former Playboy playmate’s telling of another extramarital affair with the president in 2006 and 2007.
For a group that regularly preaches about the “sanctity of marriage” and inveighs against the evils of divorce, it was a major political puzzle to me when evangelicals first backed the thrice-married, adulterous Trump over Hillary Clinton.

President Trump said Wednesday that the Obama administration should be under investigation for Russian meddling instead of him and his campaign.
“Question: If all of the Russian meddling took place during the Obama Administration, right up to January 20th, why aren’t they the subject of the investigation? Why didn’t Obama do something about the meddling? Why aren’t Dem crimes under investigation? Ask Jeff Sessions!” Mr. Trump tweeted.
Samsung Galaxy S9 hands-on review: Here’s everything you need to know
The Samsung Galaxy S9 is finally here: Here’s everything you need to know
Arguably the most highly-anticipated Android phones for the year are finally here. Samsung on Sunday announced the Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9 Plus at Mobile World Congress, both of which feature a beautiful edge-to-edge design, a revamped camera, and the latest and greatest Qualcomm processor.
Here’s everything you need to know. You can check out our Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus hands-on review for a more in-depth analysis.
Design
At a first glance, you might find it a little hard to tell the Galaxy S9 apart from its predecessor, the Galaxy S8. It’s got the same Super AMOLED Infinity Display, including the same Quad HD+ resolution, and the same display size — 5.8-inches on the Galaxy S9 and 6.2-inches on the Galaxy S9 Plus. Upon closer inspection, however, you can see some subtle differences — like the fact that the bezels are slightly smaller, and that the fingerprint sensor on the back has been repositioned to be more accessible.
You also still get a Bixby button on the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus. Now, the Bixby button has been a little controversial considering you can’t reprogram it, but Samsung promises that it has been working to make Bixby better. We’ll have to test the phone to see if that’s true.
The phones may not be all that different from the Galaxy S8, but they’re still attractive, and now refined. If you were hoping for a major redesign, perhaps hold out for next year’s Galaxy S10, or even the flexible phone Samsung expects to release in 2019.
Motorists pulled aside and well-wishers lined freeway overpasses to see the Rev. Billy Graham’s motorcade barrel through his beloved home state of North Carolina on Saturday in a running tribute to “America’s Pastor.”
Adults and children stood behind wooden barricades and yellow tape as police officers saluted and admirers captured the moment on cell phones. Fire trucks parked on overpasses along Interstate 40.
“He has never really reveled in all of the celebrity. It’s come with the territory,” said Joe Tyson, a family friend who runs a furniture store in Black Mountain, where he watched the procession. “But they’ve managed to live a very normal life for such famous people. And I think he’d be very proud that his neighbors turned out and quietly celebrated his reward and his passage into heaven.”
The new album will be called Red Bird Day.
Billy Graham was perhaps the most significant religious figure of the 20th century, and the organizations and the movement he helped spawn continue to shape the 21st.
During his life, Graham preached in person to more than 100 million people and to millions more via television, satellite, and film. Nearly 3 million have responded to his invitation to “accept Jesus into your heart” at the end of his sermons. He proclaimed the gospel to more persons than any other preacher in history. In the process, Graham became “America’s Pastor,” participating in presidential inaugurations and speaking during national crises such as the memorial services following the Oklahoma City bombing and the 9/11 attacks.
“He became the friend and confidante of popes and presidents, queens and dictators, and yet, even in his 80s, he possesses the boyish charm and unprepossessing demeanor to communicate with the masses,” said Columbia University historian Randall Balmer. Read More Here
