Philadelphia native Eshon Burgundy has released his highly anticipated third album, The Passover (May 27, 2016). Following 2015’s Billboard charting The Fear of God, Burgundy’s new album, a 10 song set, showcases an energized and renewed Eshon, masterfully fusing incisive and reverent lyrics with dynamic production.

Frozen II is by far the best animated film of 2019 — and I say that fully aware that Toy Story 4 came out this year. (TS:4 is a really close second.)

Disney has given us some great content this year, and I know they’re not done yet, especially with the launch of Disney+. Frozen II has everything a great film should. It honors the original while going in a new and compelling direction. Disney doesn’t really do feature animated sequels, but they nailed it with Frozen II.

Frozen II continues the story of Queen Elsa and Princess Anna from Arendelle with their friends Kristoff, Olaf, and Sven. They set out on a journey beyond the borders of Arendelle into new lands, searching for answers about Elsa’s past, her magic powers, and who she really is. Along the way, Anna and Elsa hope to find the answers they’ve been seeking about their family.

During the press conference for Frozen II, each member of the cast and crew described the new film using one word. Their answers? Perseverance, change, courage, adventure, soulful, growth, epic, and resilience. The film tackles each and every one of these words on different levels. Frozen II approaches some major topics, like: environmentalism, our relationship to nature, colonization, reparations, mental health, and of course, the love within a family.

THINGS we found along the way

For the last few weeks, Kanye West has been promoting his newest album “Jesus Is King,” by appearing on a few select shows.

Last week, the rapper appeared on the Late Late Show With James Corden where he and his entire chorus team flew on an airplane with Corden in a special segment called “Airpool Karaoke.”

During the flight, West performed a few of his new songs from “Jesus Is King,” talked about his faith journey, and the future of his “Sunday Services.”

During the flight, West shared with Corden that the idea to host Sunday Services actually came to him when he was in the hospital a few years back.

“When I went to the hospital a few years ago, I wrote in the hospital ‘start a church in Calabasas,’” West shared. “It’s something I had a feeling that I needed to do, that God put on my heart. Now, He keeps on taking us to new levels.”

Corden, quoting one of West’s songs said: “I need to talk to God, but I’m afraid cos’ it’s been so long.”
