The bishop who officiated Aretha Franklin’s funeral, Charles H. Ellis III, apologized Friday to Ariana Grande for how he touched her onstage and a joke he made about her name.
Accompanied by her fiance Pete Davidson, Grande traveled to Detroit to attend the ceremony and perform one of Franklin’s signature hits, “(You Make Me Feel Like) “A Natural Woman,” which she previously sang on the “Tonight Show” on Aug. 16 shortly after Franklin’s death.

The Southern California native got his start as a founding member of The Tunnel Rats, a supergroup collective of Christian battle rappers that formed after the Los Angeles riots in December 1992. Along with Jurny Big’s cousin Dax Reynosa -- the group’s architect and half of their duo LPG -- The Tunnel Rats released three albums including its seminal work, 2001’s Tunnel Vision.

In an audio recording revealed yesterday, Nigerian kidnapped schoolgirl Leah Sharibu appeals to the government of Nigeria to win her release from Islamic extremist group Boko Haram, according to several published sources.
Boko Haram released more than 100 kidnapped schoolgirls about four weeks after taking them on Feb. 19 but held Leah Sharibu, 15, the kidnapped schoolgirl in question, because she refused to convert to Islam, Morning Star News revealed on March 26.
