Remember to protect your heart. With many people including myself we rush into decisions with people we care about because we trust our hearts first and not God first. Being lead by our heart produces results that are usually painful because when we trust our heart first we allow people to penetrate it and despite the fact you think that some people care about you or truly love you the fact is they want nothing to do with you or cause you pain which leads to a broken heart and an injured life. The issues of our life pour out of our heart, when we are emotional we are said to have a soft heart and when we are always grumpy or angry we are said to have a hard heart. As Christians our heart must be protected and the best protection for our heart is to give it to God. When we give our hearts to God it means we allow Him to lead us in the direction He has called for us to go. The Bible says to love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength and love your neighbor as yourself. We must love God first and above all other people or things that we care about. When we abide in Christ our hearts are protected by Jesus,God the Father and the Holy Spirit.That is the protection we want, it is an unlimited warranty, access to God the Father through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and produced in us by the Holy Spirit. We must give our hearts to God so that we can be protected and live a life of love that is patient, kind, not envious, not proud, and not angry at situations that pop up. This transformation into Christ-likeness takes time so we must have faith that God who began a good work in us will bring it to fruition and the Bible says it will so trust that!!!!!!
