P-Duble Cracks Praize 102.9 fm Charts with single, “Stronger,” at #11
After having just released his first full-length studio-album in over a decade P-Duble, has seen his first single from that album "Stronger" open up #11 on Praize 102.9 fm's “”Praize Top 15 making it the eleventh most requested song of the past week throughout all of Praize 102.9 fm's programs.
Of the top 15 most requested tracks on the Praize Top 15, P-Duble is probably the most least known artist of them all; which is what makes the feat so humbling. Besides a full-week of rotation, Praize 102.9 fm also hosts “So Fresh, So Clean Saturdays” which is more than 24 hours of non-stop Christian Hip-Hop, Rap and Urban music beginning with the Friday evening version of the daily Canton Jones show at 3:00 p.m. and running until after 9:00 p.m. every Saturday. That's a lot of talented artists that get spun.
The Praize Top 15 includes tracks from artists such as Cam, Lecrae, Canton Jones, Erica Cumbo, Messenja, M.A.J.O.R.S., K-Drama, Flame, D-Peace, J-Moss, Mary Mary and Lil' Prophet.
“I never expected this. I knew it was getting some air-play on a couple of shows and then all of a sudden I received an e-mail notifying me that it had made the Top 15. I figured it was sitting at #15, but when I saw it at #11 and then I saw the established, talented and anointed artists that were also on the chart, I was so humbled I just broke down and prayed,” said P-Duble.
“Stronger” was originally broke and first aired by AJ Rok on his Saturday afternoon show, “Takin' Flight Radio;” which can be heard every Saturday from 3-5 p.m. EST.
“We try to go back to when radio stations actually broke new records. We Can't take all the credit. All we did is play it. It's the listeners who kept requesting it,” stated AJ Rok.
Praize 102.9 fm is a natural air-wave station based out of Greenville, South Carolina that can also be heard on-line at http://www.praize1029.com/
The station's programming includes the popular “Yolanda Adams Morning Show” as well as “The Co-Co Brother.”
“Stronger,” which features 'dayungSnapper' and 'Layzie Bone' is one of the tracks off of P-Duble's new release, “STANK: Block Boi” which is available digitally online and on physical cd. The album was released on 12/1/09.
