This will be Montell Jordan‘s first album release, since 2008‘s “Let It Rain.”
“‘Masterpeace’ is the soundtrack for our Marriage Masterpeace Ministry. It promotes and encourages couples to keep dating in their marriage and spiritually strengthen their faith in each other. The album is comprised of R&B songs from the heart of a man who loves God, his wife and family. The project is designed to reach beyond the four walls of the church and to inspire love and closer relationship in marriages by intentionally sharing thoughts from a more spiritual perspective. Married couples will need baby sitters for this album because they will be inspired to dance longer, love harder and make it last forever.”
The albums lead single is produced by Lecrae, entitled “When I’m Around You.” The title of the album comes from a book Montell released with his wife Kristin Jordan last year called “This Is How We Do It – Making Your Marriage a Masterpeace.”
You just dropped the new single “When I’m Around You” with Lecrae. Talk about the new single.
Montell Jordan: Lecrae is a friend and fraternity brother of mine. The single is the first release that I’ve put out in over ten years. It’s going to be the forthcoming single from an album called “Masterpeace”. It’s a project that I wanted to do to be the soundtrack to marriage ministry. my wife Kristin and I do marriage ministry together and we go places to do conferences and speaking engagements. It just felt like some music doesn’t always fit in a church or the occasion, so we wanted to create the soundtrack to our marriage ministry. It’s stories and experiences, so we put together a project which is coming out probably late fall or winter. Read More Here
