Kansas rap artist Cash Hollistah presented the Cash Hollistah
Scholarship to Gracie Lott, a high school senior at Smoky Valley High School, Lindsborg, KS. The
$1,000 annual scholarship recognizes a graduating senior in central Kansas who shows merit in
the field of community enrichment through, poetry, music, art or design. The scholarship is
funded courtesy of Ad Astra Books and Coffee House, Salina, KS.
“This scholarship has been an incredibly rewarding experience.” Cash Hollistah, Salina native and
rapper (Die Daily) who is also an arts educator and community activist. “To be able to discover
talented high school kids from my state who excel in their artistic gifts, but who also find ways to
use those talents to enrich their communities. We give this scholarship as a way of saying, “first
year of books are on us!”
“I am so thankful for this scholarship.” said scholarship recipient Gracie Lott, who plans to attend
Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ this fall and major in graphic design. “There have been a
lot of local artist who have engrained in me that mixing your art and your community is so
important, and that’s exactly what this scholarship does.”
The award was presented by Ad Astra owner Tammy Jarvis and Hollistah during a poetry
presentation the Smoky Hill River Festival in Salina, KS.
