Many a fashion statement was made on tonight’s Emmys red carpet but none was quite as impact as Jenifer Lewis’. The self proclaimed “Mother of Black Hollywood” decided to skip the designer gowns and couture creations and instead hit the red carpet in head to toe Nike. She walked the carpet with a glitter check on her chest and her natural hair on her head, proud to be representing her blackness and the company that stood by Colin Kaepernick in his fight to make a statement about police brutality.
