Importance of Chain of Command in Business

“And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden. And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat? And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat. And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.” (Genesis 3:7-13, The King James Version).
“Immediately the two of them did “see what’s really going on”—saw themselves naked! They sewed fig leaves together as makeshift clothes for themselves. When they heard the sound of God strolling in the garden in the evening breeze, the Man and his Wife hid in the trees of the garden, hid from God. God called to the Man: “Where are you?” He said, “I heard you in the garden and I was afraid because I was naked. And I hid.” God said, “Who told you you were naked? Did you eat from that tree I told you not to eat from?” The Man said, “The Woman you gave me as a companion, she gave me fruit from the tree, and, yes, I ate it.” God said to the Woman, “What is this that you’ve done?” “The serpent seduced me,” she said, “and I ate.”” (The Message).
Now the normal “minister” will address these verses as blame shifting and not taking responsibility, which it is, but I’m taking this in another direction. I know there are people who have taught on what I am going to share, I’ve just never heard of any so far. So I’m going to share what the Lord has revealed to me concerning business that many people seem to not want to touch on this topic. Hence, the reason why I haven’t heard any one teaching on it.
Before we get too deep into this, let me say that this message is going to be longer than normal. We are going to talk about chain of command. I didn’t cover this in chapter 1 on the message called End Product @ http://www.ricardoequips.com/2071/end-product-by-ricardo-butler/, which I should have.
God had told them,
“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” (Genesis 1:26-28).
Adam was given authority over this serpent. Eve had this authority too, even though she was the new girl! So Adam and Eve both had authority of over the beast of the field (since they both together were given dominion over all the animals) to tell him what to do (again, looking at this from the perspective that he is a bad employee/customer).
My question I have to throw out there is this: What is the chain of command if this was a business setting?
Well we already established that God was the Founder and CEO of the business, so that would make Him at the top of the “food chain.” Our Scripture reference for this truth is,
“But I would have you know, that the head OF EVERY MAN IS CHRIST … and the head of Christ IS GOD.” (1st Corinthians 11:3).
According to this verse, God is the CEO, Founder, and President of the company! He is the man in charge at ALL times, even when He is NOT around, He IS THE BOSS!
Who comes next? Well that would be Adam! Adam was created (‘hired’) first to work for and with God. Why do you think God called out Adam first? If I were some of these women out there, not that there is anything wrong with being independent and in charge, but why would you want to if God has set His order up with man first. If I was a woman I would be like, “Adam, you’re the man in charge! And God doesn’t look too happy! YOU handle that!” That’s how I would be!
