Ministry Center

Uttermost Part of the Earth (GLOBALLY, INTERNATIONALLY, UNIVERSALLY)

Circle of Influence - The Acts 1:8 Principle

Circle of Influence – The Acts 1:8 Principle

I know many of you are like, “What’s a ministry center?” This goes by many names in the apostolic and prophetic circles. You may have heard of these as Antioch churches, equipping churches, sending churches, Headquarter churches, and even mother churches.

The Catholic Church abused this and took it farther than intended and called them dioceses. They are central main church centers that watched over all the smaller or local churches in a certain area or region.

In the Bible there are many examples of this. I will show you some good ones, bad ones, old ones, new ones, etc.

The first example was a bad example of this. Ever read about the Tower of Babel? I’m pretty sure if you have never read it you have at least heard of it. The Tower of Babel was an ungodly ministry center … that was never finished. Why? Because it was against God’s order. People are still trying to build ministries, churches, denominations, governments, families, organizations, and record labels this way. There is one big building where the leader or founder is god-like in his own mind and the people live in their living spaces around it and him serving him. WRONG ANSWER!

Next example is the Tabernacle of Moses. The ministry center was the Tabernacle of Moses. The little tents where the families and the leader (elders) of each household (usually the dad) stood outside the tent and went to receive from God and Moses. The Tabernacle sat in the middle of the camp.

The next example, which was lead both by the good, the bad, and (yes), even the ugly was Solomon’s Temple—the Temple of God. The Temple was the Ministry Center and everyone lived around it and came to serve God or receive from Him through the man of God (whether King, Prophet, Priest, or Levite in the Temple). So when Solomon was there, the people were blessed and in peace. By the time it got down to Jesus’ time the Sanhedrin took over and they build local churches called Synagogues around the Temple and in every city. They all had to (of course) report to the rule of Temple leadership (which was divided by the way between Pharisees and Sadducees).

Now in Acts 2 you hear of two different places mentioned, again. And they are,

“And they, continuing daily with one accord IN THE TEMPLE, and breaking bread FROM HOUSE TO HOUSE, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart.” (Acts 2:46).

“And daily IN THE TEMPLE, and IN EVERY HOUSE, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.” (Acts 5:42).

There it is guy and gals! The temple is the Ministry Center where all the leaders met. Then there were the House (Local) Churches meeting in home, where those leaders came back and taught about Christ as they received from the Apostles and Elders. It was just like Moses’ Tabernacle! This Ministry Center was the temple in Jerusalem before the persecution from the old church lead by the Sanhedrin. Afterwards all the Apostles and Elders most likely met in a larger home in Jerusalem. So the location of the ministry center did not determine where the center was. It was determined by where the Apostles and Elders (Five Fold Ministry) met, taught, trained, equipped, worshipped, fellowshipped and led from wherever they were in Jerusalem. This is also where the Acts 15 Conference was at and they determined what the Church was supposed to believe after a debate came up about the Law of Moses (Old Covenant) and Salvation with the New Law of Christ (New Covenant).

Later on in Acts there was a new Ministry Center started by God through some Prophets and Teachers. God upgraded Paul and Barnabas to be Apostles and the Antioch Ministry Center was born. The other Apostles were still overseeing the Jewish Christian Church. And these leaders were overseers of the Gentile Christian Church. And they were ALL still united!

Here’s another example of a ministry center in a large house.

“And the next day WE [Luke the Teacher, Silas the Prophet, Timothy the Evangelist, Titus the Pastor, etc] that were of [the Apostle] Paul’s company [an apostolic team] departed, and came unto Caesarea: and we entered into the HOUSE of Philip the evangelist, which was one of the seven [one of the seven original deacons]; and abode with him. And the same man had four daughters, virgins, which did prophesy. And as we tarried there [at Philip the Evangelist's HOUSE] many days, there came down from Judea a certain prophet, named Agabus.” (Acts 21:8-10).

It looks like the whole Five Fold Ministry met at this House Church.

In the Book of Revelation John the Apostle (the disciple whom Jesus loved) as penned that book was among the leaders who oversaw the SEVEN Ministry Centers in Asia. Each of those 7 churches also had little small house churches running along and around them.

Today many churches have the large gathering on Sunday and then small groups in homes across the city. We even now have INTERNET Ministry Centers where the Five Fold Ministers have come together online and train, equip, and send saints and minister all over the world. This is kind of a cross between the Ministry Center and the Network. So they are combined and do work well. You will go to some these Apostolic and Prophet websites and find a section that says “our affiliates” or who are “under there covering” etc. These are online ministry centers. Some are just online and others are actually literal locations. The wise ones use both!

Now let’s talk about how King David did it so we can understand how to use this Kingdom principle to transform and recreate the music ministry, industry, and culture.

Our first Scripture shows the governmental side of the Ministry Center. We will cover the Music side in the next example.

“And he [King David the foreshadow of the apostolic ministry] put garrisons [Heb: ‘something stationary, i.e. a prefect (something like a regional office), a military post, a statue:--garrison, officer, pillar’] in Edom; throughout all Edom put he garrisons, and all they of Edom became David’s servants [like deacons]. And the LORD preserved David whithersoever he went. And David reigned over ALL Israel; and David executed judgment [discipline, correction] and justice unto all his people. And Joab [a type of evangelist ministry] the son of Zeruiah was over the host [the military, army]; and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder [another type of evangelist ministry]; and Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, were the priests [foreshadow of pastoral ministry]; and Seraiah was the scribe [type of teaching ministry; and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over both the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and David's sons were chief rulers [like elders or bishops].” (2nd Samuel 8:14-18).

Two people not mentioned above that were apart of David’s governmental order or Ministry Center was Nathan the Prophet and Gad the Seer (basically a prophet). A know of several apostolic ministries and churches led by pastors who do not accept the Prophet into the administration and governmental order of their ministry centers and local churches. I have read their reports on why and they are way off and unbiblical. I’m not going to get into that here.

But let’s cover and end with the final kind of church, which is the music version of the ministry center! You have probably heard me teach on this too many times. I pretty much just copy paste the same thing over and over again. I will be writing and putting out an e-Book later on greater detail about the Five Fold Hip-Hop Ministers.

Five Fold Anointing

Five Fold Anointing

Here are the different types of leadership callings within the Five Fold Ministry. The Five Fold Ministry is given to the Body of Christ universally or worldwide. That means that they can function anywhere in the world. They can as the Scriptures says move “from house to house” (Acts 2:46; 5:42), and this movement and travel can be all over the world. These ministers are listed in Ephesians 4:11 & 1st Corinthians 12:28 and are given in order of rank (determined by grace, importance, anointing, fruit, etc):

1.   Apostle

2.   Prophet

3.   Teacher

4.   Evangelist

5.   Pastor (Shepherds)

I personally believe that though “Not all [are] Apostles. Not all [are] prophets, Not all [are] teachers …” (1 Cor. 12:29) in the sense that not all in the church HOLD THE OFFICES, I DO believe that “… EVERY ONE OF US [EVERY ONE IN THE BODY] is given grace [a gift--at least one five-fold gift] according to THE MEASURE of the gift of Christ” and “… gave gifts unto men” (Eph. 4:7-8) has either the five-fold GIFTING (30FOLD), or the five-fold MINISTRY (60FOLD), or the five-fold OFFICE (100FOLD).
