Musical Chairs to Hip-Hop Thrones

Have you every played “Musical Chairs” when you were a kid? Perhaps in elementary school or Sunday school, or maybe even in day care or something?

 

I know I did! We played all those games like “Duck, Duck, Goose” and “Hide and Seek.”

 

We loved a lot of these games when we were youth. Now that we are old we’ve moved onto bigger and better things. Or did we?

 

Some of us are still playing Musical Chair. You ask how? Believe me, we do.

 

Consider this: Are you an artist out there striving to “book shows”? I’m pretty sure all of us can raise our hands to that one?

 

How about this one: Are you an artist of God who can’t seem to book shows in the church and have tried venues in the world or “in the streets”?

 

AHA! Now we are getting somewhere, huh?

 

Well, let me ask you this. Are you an artist who is “this close” to getting your foot into the door of the music industry with you demo, mixtape, or EPK (electronic press kit)?

 

AHA again! It’s you who have been doing from office to office of these record labels with you manager, booking agent, lawyer, the label A&R, shopping your demo from “chair to chair.”

 

Why do we (artists of God) do this? Why do we even waste our time on the world and their music Egyptian-Babylonian system. That’s what the music industry is! You are trying to be under their bondage through there evil and selfish dealings. Their record contracts have ruined worldly musicians lives and you are running to that?
