 WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING AT? In this world, there are many things that we come in contact with that can have a negative impact on the way we live. For instance, things that we hear can continue to repeat itself over and over in our head and persuade us to believe the message and sometimes convince us to even do what the message is conveying. But, what about the things we see? The things that we come in contact with visually? What ever we set our eyes on, we take a mental photograph of that image. We might take a glance at something with no harm intended, but what happens when later that day or week that same image appears back into our mind? An image that we know we shouldn't continue thinking about because it may lead to lust, which can produce fornication, masturbation or even adultery. The Bible says in Proverbs 4:25, "Let your eyes look straight ahead, fix your gaze directly before you."-NIV If we are not focused on Jesus and His righteousness by listening and looking at things that will harm us, we will find ourselves in sinful situations that may ultimately separate us spiritually from God.
