The Oakland Raiders may opt to fill their void at running back in the 2017 NFL draft if a Marshawn Lynch trade isn't reached with the Seattle Seahawks before the offseason event, which kicks off April 27.

Kevin Patra of NFL.com passed along an update on the situation from the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, who confirmed on Good Morning Football there's no trade or contract currently in place:

Right now, there's no agreement between Marshawn Lynch and the Oakland Raiders, and the real deadline here—they hoped to have it done by yesterday when offseason conditioning started, didn't happen—the real deadline here is the draft. Because it is possible that the Raiders get on the clock Thursday night or Friday, and say 'Alright, we're going to take this running back. He has a value here for us. We're just going to take the leap.' And once they take a running back, it probably will close the door on Marshawn Lynch.

Lynch caused a stir last week after making a vague post on social media amid speculation he was close to reaching a deal with the Raiders, which would open the door for a trade with the Seahawks:

Stephen Curry knows that the NBA MVP award is landing in someone else’s hands after he owned it for the past two years. But don’t feel bad for the 2015 NBA champion, as his life is pretty darn phenomenal on and off the court with the Golden State Warriors.

Curry is playing for the NBA team with the best regular-season record, home-court advantage throughout the playoffs and three fellow NBA All-Stars, including Kevin Durant, on his side. The NBA’s 3-point-shooting leader still has the league’s hottest-selling jersey and is in a commercial with tennis legend Serena Williams. With the NBA playoffs beginning Saturday, Curry talked to The Undefeated about who should win the 2017 NBA MVP award, his relationship with Durant on and off the court, the 2016 NBA Finals, advice from Serena, his buddy Drake, contacting former President Barack Obama and the first-round matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers.

“We’re definitely going to go through a tough challenge,” Curry said of the Blazers. “They’re playing their best basketball right now, and they’re playing with a lot of confidence. As we know, it doesn’t matter what happened in the regular season.”

How have you adjusted to Durant on the court?

It’s been great. Obviously, there is a learning process and a transition period that we went through earlier in the year. On Christmas Day [a loss at Cleveland], there was a lot of conversation that came out of that game. But ever since then, we’ve both been ultra-aggressive and, for a lack of a better term, exist together on the floor and really have a good balance to what we do. K.D. is doing it, Klay [Thompson] is doing it, Andre [Iguodala], Draymond [Green] and all the other playmakers, we’ve all really figured out the flow of how it’s supposed to look on both ends of the floor. I’m looking forward to the opportunity to showcase it where it really matters.

What do you think about the NBA MVP debate? You’re giving up your trophy now.

Apparently. I’m glad it’s not like the Masters green jacket. I don’t have to give my actual trophy back.

Do you have a pick or projected NBA MVP winner?

Just thinking about the season as a whole and all the spectacular things we saw from Russ[Westbrook] to James [Harden] to Kawhi [Leonard] to LeBron [James] to Isaiah [Thomas], myself, K.D. before he got hurt, you can’t really make a bad decision on who to vote for. It’s just a matter of how you define MVP. That seems to kind of change from year to year just depending on your preference and what you enjoy watching on the court, what matters most to you in that kind of sense. I said [Harden] probably a month ago on what Houston was projected to do going into the season. But, obviously, I’m not voting on it. Read More Here

CLEVELAND -- After another excruciating loss in which the Indiana Pacers nearly came all the way back from a late double-digit deficit before succumbing to the Cleveland CavaliersPaul George had blunt criticism for more of his teammates.

In the Pacers' Game 1 loss to the Cavs, it was CJ Miles whom George called out for missing a potential game-winning jumper. That led George to declare, "In situations like that, I got to get the last shot. I was asking for it. CJ took it upon himself."

Following Indiana's 117-111 loss Monday to fall down 0-2 in their first-round series with the Cavs, George aimed at both Lance Stephenson and Myles TurnerRead More Here

The Grizzlies can't stop Kawhi Leonard

Leonard finished Game 2 with a playoff-career-high 37 points and 11 rebounds, the first Spurs player to have at least 35 points and 10 rebounds in a playoff game since Tim Duncan against the Suns in 2008. Leonard is also the first Spurs player to start a postseason with consecutive 30-point games since Terry Cummings in 1992.

Who on the Grizzlies can stop Leonard? Four Grizzlies have guarded him on at least five of his plays this series --

Vince CarterJames EnnisMarc Gasol and Wayne Selden. Leonard is a combined 17-of-19 against them, with 21 of his 28 free throw attempts resulting from matchups against that quartet.

LeBron James says Cavs 'right there on turning the switch'

LeBron James says the defending-champion Cavs are on the brink of putting it all together.

"We're right there," James said after putting up 25 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists on Monday. "We're right there of what we know we can become, and we'll figure it out. So, like I told you, I'd much rather have an 18-point lead than not have a lead at all. And we make plays down the stretch to win a ball game in the postseason, and that's all you can ask for. But we're right there on turning the switch on what we really can become." Read More Here

Dwyane Wade compares game of Jimmy Butler to LeBron James'

BOSTON -- Chicago Bulls guard Dwyane Wade played with LeBron James long enough to know how overwhelming James can be on both ends of the floor.
