“If ye [ALL of you—Christians] keep My commandments [LOVE GOD and LOVE OTHERS], ye [ALL of you Christians] shall abide in My love; even as I have kept My Father’s commandments [LOVE GOD and LOVE OTHER], and abide in His love. These things [LOVE GOD and LOVE OTHERS] have I spoken unto you, that MY JOY [Gk: ‘cheerfulness, i.e. calm delight:--gladness, greatly joy, (be exceeding) joyful, joyfulness, joy’] might remain in you, and that [the joy of Christ that is NOT …] your joy might be FULL [that you may be FULL OF JOY or joyful]. GREATER LOVE hath no man THAN THIS, that a man lay down his life [DIE] for his friends.” (John 15:10-13).
“A man that hath friends must [FIRST take imitative and] show himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.” (Proverbs 18:24).
“We [who are IN Christ] know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren [the brothers and sisters in Christ]. He that loveth not his brother [brothers and sisters in Christ] abideth in death. I have a good, no great friend that I’ve known and have been working with in the hip-hop ministry for about six years now. I actually grew up working with his stepfather back when I started out doing hip-hop back in the early nineties. I was still in high school back in those days. I had just started out working with him doing shows in the Boys and Girls Club for the little kids. I was still doing music in the secular world in the beginning. His stepfather was a famous DJ out here in Orlando and many other places up and down the East Coast and Down South.
