One of the Hollywood’s most beloved legends recently celebrated her 93-year of life. But it was her godson whose special message has left people in the streets talking.
Actress Cicely Tyson established a career that broke all the barriers for the Black women and female in general—after being an entertainer and an activist at the same time.
So, many people across the world took their time to wish the living legend the happiest birthday celebration.
Joining other celebrities in the recent celebration was a talented musician Lenny Kravitz, who took on Instagram, to share short and sweet remarks about his “godmother.”
The 93-year-old television and film star was a very close friend of Kravitz’ mom, Roxie Roker—who also built an incredible career in Hollywood before she untimely died in 1995, aging 66-years-old.
Before celebrating her 93 milestone day, Tyson recently trended after being featured on the cover page of ELLE Magazine’s November edition.
Tyson’s talent was discovered by one of Ebony magazine’s photographer who linked her and becomes a famous fashion model. She first began acting in 1950 by featuring on the NBC series ‘Frontiers of Faith.’
And in the case of the play, Tyson secured her first role in the year 1950. She went on to feature in many more television projects, with a majority of them garnering her awards.
