In this segment King Lemuel mother continues to teach him about what type of woman he should marry. It is very important that when a man marries a woman that she represents him well. That she understands her husband status in his circle of family, friends and church

Proverbs 31:16-23

When you are naturally a Proverbs 31 woman, being submissive and considerate of your husband and children come naturally. When making purchase you will weight out the good and bad. Could your family prosper or get in debt behind your purchase. In verses 16-18 it clearly explains that after buying a field she went straight to work on that field. She new that is she tilled the land it would bring forth wealth and a good harvest for her family. She knew that she had to take care of herself also. So, there wouldn’t be any lack for her family.

In this time that we live in it is important that a woman choose her job correctly. Will the job she is working provide more than financial means for her family? Will it have her candle to go out (will she be drained)? When she does work with her hands, she makes sure that it is not in vain. The work is good, so when she does help the needy, they can be fulfilled as well. (Proverbs 31:19-20)

She is not afraid of what ever the weather brings, reason being she is prepared. Her house is always ready for whatever comes their way. Can you say the same? Is your house ready for the seasons? Are you prepared to make sure that your family is clothed correctly? Not just with shelter and clothes; but also, in prayer! (Proverbs 31:21-22) them most important scripture that is the glue of Proverbs 31 is (Proverbs 31:23) Your husband is known throughout gates and amongst the elders! His name carries weight, therefore whatever his wife does and says represents him!
