Bibliology

Bibliology is the study of what the Bible teaches concerning itself (the Greek word biblios means a book, volume, scroll). I pray this study on the Bible in regards of what the Bible teaches about itself will help you understand the Bible more which is the very Word of God which in turn I pray will allow you to grow in your relationship with the God of the Bible. I will present some verses in which the Bible speaks about itself.2 Timothy 3: 15 and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.Paul wrote to Timothy and said that ever since Timothy's childhood he had known about the Holy Scriptures which is the only book in the world that can make us wise or give us knowledge of salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. The reason that the Scriptures can grant the reader the wisdom or knowledge for salvation is because it is inspired by God and profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness so that the man of God may be complete and thoroughly equipped for every good work. The Greek Word theopneustos means "inspired by God" and comes from the Greek words: (Theos, "God," pneo, "to breathe") so God spoke His Word or breathed His Word and it was written down by 40 + people over a period of 1500 years or more.I Thessalonians 2:13 For this reason we also thank God without ceasing, because when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe. The Bible is the truth, word of God, and it effectively works in people who believe it to be truth and believe that God is true. The Greek Word energeo means "to put forth power, be operative, to work" (its usual meaning), is rendered by the verb "to work effectually," or "to be effectual," in the AV of 2 Cor. 1:6; Gal. 2:8; 1 Thess. 2:13; in each case the RV translates it by the simple verb "to work" (past tense, "wrought").Matthew 5:18 For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.God's Word will stand strong no matter what happens, whatever God said would come to past in the Bible will come to past at the exact time God has set forth for it to happen.Galatians 3:16 Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as of many, but as of one, “And to your Seed,”a]">[a]who is Christ. The biggest promise to those who believe in the God of Abraham is the Seed of Abraham which is Jesus Christ who is actually the One that Abraham put his faith in. Abraham looked forward to Christ just as we do.Psalm 119: 89 Forever, O LORD,Your word is settled in heaven. The Word of God is eternal and settled securely in heaven.BibliologyThe Doctrine of the Word of Godby Pastor Art KohlThere are some fascinating points brought up in This work by Pastor Kohl and here they are.4.
