Are You A Conformer Or A Transformer Part 1 By Prince Malachi
If you are a follower of Yeshua (Jesus), and his teachings, if you are a follower of Yahweh, you are to be transformed. That’s not optional. It’s not only if you want to. Yahweh demands it. Be transformed! What does that even mean? Well looking at the Greek text this was originally written in, the word used here is metamorphousthe (or metamorphoo in some text) This is where we get the word metamorphosis from. If you fell asleep in life science class, metamorphosis is the biological process where a caterpillar becomes a butterfly. Now, this is a process, it doesn't just happen instantly. It takes time. And it's not pretty. It might even look weird to some people.
Ok so, “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind”. And how do you do that? By daily (yes I said daily) praying and studying. ( There are other things we should be doing daily, but I will get into that in a different study) You see despite what you believe and have been taught, the mind is far from perfect. Our minds have become…
- Selfish
- Self - centered
- Focused on personal gain
- Centered on the flesh
- And Focused on greed
Because of this, we must be transformed
- We are naturally without principle. We must be transformed (Rom 1.28)
- Our minds are full of lust and ungodly thoughts, we must be transformed. (Rom. 8:7)
- Our minds have become full of vanity and emptiness ( shout out to Instagram) We must be transformed (Ep. 4:17)
- Our minds are focused on earthly things. We must be transformed (Ph. 3:18-19)
- Our minds have become separated from Yahweh and have become an enemy of Yah. We must be transformed (Col 1:21)
- Our minds have become contaminated. We must be transformed (Tit. 1:15)
The mind is transformed by the image and the presence of Yahweh in the life of the Christian through daily prayer and study. When you become a follower of Yeshua you are spiritually…
- Born again (Jn. 3:3 - 8; 1 Pe 1:23)
- Made into a new man (Ep. 4:24: Col 3:10)
- Made into a new creature (2 Co.2:16; 9-15)
- Changed
So as followers of Yeshua and His teachings, we should be about that transformed life, renewing our minds daily.
- We should never let our minds get corrupted (2 Co. 11:3)
- We are not to fulfill the desires of our flesh and mind (Ep 2:3)
- We should not walk like the world walks, with vanity on the mind
- We are to let the mind of Yeshua be in is (Ph. 2:5)
- We are to live by the laws of Yahweh which He put in our mind (He 8:10)
Victory over the world and in the world comes through renewing your mind. We do this by focusing our mind upon Yahweh mentally practicing the presence of Yah.
