On April 15 of this year, a small town in Mississippi, Clinton, was gnarled by an F3 tornado. Two rappers from that area, Twiceborn and P. Lo Jetson, stepped up to provide hope for the residents. Here's Twiceborn's commentary about the situation and song, along with the video below it:

After this devastating storm tore through my city, the city of Clinton, MS.  I instantly began pondering on what I could do to help my fellow citizens with the limited resources I had available. I began riding around the city taking numerous pictures of the aftermath and my heart began to mourn, not for a death toll, but the property loss that so many citizens had endured.  After talking with a fellow brother in the ministry, Dale "P. Lo Jetson" Sellers, he along with myself, Di'Marco "Twiceborn" Baskin, discovered that we were both out taking pictures and trying to come up with a way to give back to our community.  We both instantly came up with an idea to do a song to encourage our sisters & brothers around Clinton and felt that if we could get it out around the city, it would be geared to the citizens as a whole!  P. Lo had gotten permission from Christian rap artist, Andy "C-Lite" Mineo to remix his original song "In My City" months ago, but never felt he had the right lyrics to put in the song. However, on Friday, April 15, 2011, an F-3 tornado surged through our city of Clinton, and it was at that time he realized, this is the time to do the song.  After further collaboration between the two of us, we discovered that the Lord had laid the same passion upon both of our hearts and we began to write and cry then write and cry some more until we completed our individual verses to our remake of the the song, "In My City."  I later arranged the pictures taken between the both of us, added the song to it, and created a video as a specialtribute to the city of Clinton on behalf of Di'Marco "Twiceborn" Baskin & Dale "P. Lo" Jetson!  This song cannot replace the homes, vehicles, and items lost in this storm, but it is our prayers that it restore the faith and hope in knowing that God is in control of everything!  Although possessions were lost, the greatest possession of all, "LIFE" was preserved and for this we are forever grateful!
